Does anyone find it odd that various English translations of the Bible (like the NIV) have a very strict copyright notice?

One would think the companies behind those translations would be interested in "getting the word out", not protecting their rights.

Daniel the Jewish Prophet 12:2 chapter 2 verse 2 "They that die shall arise some to abhorance forever, and some to everlasting life."

Why would a holy man declare a lie? This is the man that wouldnt bow to worship the king of Babylon, and was sentenced to death for it.

Isaiah declares there is a hell too where the concience never dies-Last chapter 66 last verse.

Isaiah also proves Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, and that the bible can not be tampered with-for my Jewish people that have rejected Moses and his declared necessity of a sinless blood atonement for sins=Leviticus 17:11

Isaiah further proves the bible true and untampered with -perfectly giving more prophecy-which as predicted "The Messiah will be despised and rejected by my Jewish people, yet will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins, and return to reign as the anointed one=Messiah." Isaiah 52:13-53:12

Jesus lied? declaring hell for those that reject salvation =John 3& 12:48, Rev. 1:1, 3rd&19-22chap

Dont you think humans had to evolve their brains in order to have the intelligence we have today? Humans became intelligent through trial and error, not "poof" your smart now. Isnt the intelligent design theory humancentric and twists histories facts into what religions prefer to hear?

I guarantee if some thunderous voice from the sky told me to specifically not eat from the tree I would not have, nor would I have listened to a woman or talking snake (is there a difference?) about eating an apple.

If I knew first-hand God was creating stuff left and right, popping them into existence, I would definitely not ***** with him.

So knowing that, why do you all assume all of us are the same as Adam and Eve, shouldn't they be blamed and not us? We weren't alive or around.

I'm a Muslim, and I don't follow terrorism and I despise racist accusations about Muslim Terrorists.

Terrorists are NOT TRUE Muslims - Muslims are NOT terrorists.

In my opinion, I pity those of the 9/11 and wish as much as anyone it had not occured and those suicidal idiots would get what they deserve.

Here it is. We all know that we have a physical body. We touch it everyday. We all know that there is an energy that moves this body in every way. Walking talking, thinking, running laughing, eating, feeling, and anything that one can imagine one can do, or not do for that matter. You can call the energy anything you like. Some call it God, while others call it Allah, or Jehova, Budda, the soul, or the spirit etc etc etc. We all know that someone or something created all things.
Let's look at this in computer terms. Let's say that the physical body is the hardware, and the energy is the software. we know that if a piece of hardware has no software to run it what good is the hardware? In other words, if the body lost its software it will not work. We call it death. Everything imaginable was created by the software writer. Everything comprehendable is part of the software that moves the hardware. So do we really have free will? Do we really make choices?

my bf is a new Christian and, as expected, the devil is attacking him where it hurts most, his family. he gets very frustrated and is also worried that he might dissapear again and have no memory of what hapened, which is what hapened to him at the begining of this year. ive been trying to explain to him that things are different now because he's living for God, but hes still a wreck. last time i gave him spiritual advise he didnt really listen to me but paid attention when a friend of his told him the same exact thing i told him. sometimes i feel like he doesnt trust me, but i dont want to push him to tell me stuff. ive already told him that im always there for him and w/e but i dont know what to do to anymore...

I'm a Muslim, and I have indeed read the Quaran/Koran -- And yet only have come upon a limited number of seemingly violent verses, that were based upon a war against Islam in the past.

The rest of the Quaran, however, is filled with peace and religon.

From what I see, most people who judge us by terrorism and violence that idiotic lunatics have done; have based their knowledge and false information on unaccurate racist websites.

Why don't these people read the Quaran itself and point out the "violent" verses -

And then the peaceful verses?

You can't just take away a small part of something and leave the rest - As in this case it would be taking seemingly violent verses and ignoring the rest of the peacful (ect.) verses.

Those "Violent" Verses where based on a war against Islam (as I had already said) - Everytime, in the past, when a new religon was born, war raged against it.

Which is what happened with Jew's and Christians.

I believe in God, I believe that Jesus was a real man of God. I accept scientific studies, and believe that God's creations is so great it lead to the evolution (proven). I believe that the bible is of God, but I don't believe that these are 100% factual stories but that they are lessons to be learned and symbolic or poetic. Can I still call myself Christian if I still Love people, do unto others as I would have them do to me?

non believers say that Christians wage war, murder, the bible is fake, God is non existent, the religion is frivolous, Christians are evil, the typical slander non believers think of but why do they not attack Scientologists? To me scientology is much more unorthodox than anything else but why do people think Christianity is much more worthy of ridicule and debate?

Some Muslims try to deny that this is what 4:34 says. They are of course lying and will not "swear to allah" that it doesnt permitt beating.

Research it yourself, if you think this issue sigificant. Dont you want to know if youve been delibrately lied to? After all, in the west, most Muslims try to deny this is what it says.

Outside the west, you will find the opposite, most muslims respond with "yea, so whats wrong with that?"

What conclusions can you draw, once you research this and discover that THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE QURAN SAYS? Will you conclude that almost all western Muslims are liars? Sounds harsh, I know, but of course, if I was a western Muslim today, I guess I would lie about Islam all day long, to keep the heat off.
