I'm a Muslim, and I don't follow terrorism and I despise racist accusations about Muslim Terrorists.

Terrorists are NOT TRUE Muslims - Muslims are NOT terrorists.

In my opinion, I pity those of the 9/11 and wish as much as anyone it had not occured and those suicidal idiots would get what they deserve.

What do you other Muslims think?

Terrorists aren't true Muslims in my opinion.

Do you see me bombing places for no actual reason?

I am an American Muslim, sometimes it hurts when nonmuslims point and shout 'go back to your country'. But this only builds up strength. Being also bi-racial, i deal with lots of racism anyway. Adding my new faith, well i learn to hold out anger and fight a deeper pain. seeing how cruel everyone is to children of the Islamic faith.
Ripping off the Islamic veil, pushing the Muslim women, and sexual harassment from the nonMuslim men to the Muslim women.
I am not a terrorist, though what i have seen, is it really the Muslims who are one.
Islam does to promote violence and those who do it in the name of God...is sad. God will deal with them on the day of judgment. And i ask those who think that Islam is (a)___________________. Please take the time to understand, ask a Muslim(in person) and visit the local mosque so that all can come to a better understanding of the Islamic faith...Al-Islam.
Thank you.

Here's what it looks like from my standpoint- Most Muslims are not terrorists, but a great deal of them are, and claim that they are doing god's will. Just like when the Christians were "spreading the good word" and pillaging city after city after country after country all in the name of Jesus.

Religion can be used for comfort. This is a positive thing. It can also be used as a control device. This is a negative thing. Terrorism isn't limited to Muslims. Anyone can join in!

Killing of innocent is a sin whether by individual or a state but the logic above is not valid.
There are Christian terrorists , Muslim terrorist, Jewish terrorists and terrorist in followers of all faith despite despite the teachings of their faith otherwise. There are decent Christians, decent Muslims and decent Jews and decent people in all faiths. It is the human who make a mess of things, just like this site 'Yahoo Q/A' which was intended to share knowledge or just information and not use it for spewing out poison as we see here. The same thing happens to people with wrong actions and wrong reactions.

i agree with you...because when i watched the 9/11 bombs i really was sad because innocent people will die by people who call themselves Muslims....and it gets harder because alot of people see Islam as terror or violence and misjudge it and misunderstand it ...so they never get the chance to know the real Islam...everyone is free to choose his/her religion and i respect all...and true Muslims are not terrorists but it seems that the publicity of this wrong information is being spread and believed.....hope everyone understand it right....:)

May the peace, blessings and mercy of God be upon you

Yes, I agree the Terrorists are not following true Islam, they are following their own wicked desires. The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia has called them Criminals.

Please read this fatwa which explains from the Islamic Jurisprudence Scholars that Terrorism and Suicide Bombings are FORBIDDEN, and those who support them are DEVIANT!

Know we are being tested my fellow believer, just accumulate our good deeds, the best being praying the five prayers on time.

[016:093] And had God willed, He could have made you (all) one nation, but He sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. But you shall certainly be called to account for what you used to do.

Peace Be With You

I agree with you. The attacks of 9/11 were not religious in origin but rather political. it was a response to americas foreign policy in that part of the world nothing to do with religious dogma.

Terrorists, islamofascists, blah blah they are all just rallying war crys from religious extremists on the other side of the coin...

What the jews were in ww2 the Muslims are quickly becoming in this war.. but unlike ww2 this is an unending war

Of course the terrorists are mostly muslim as thats the part of the world our foreign policy blunders happened in.

if it was Ireland all the terrorists would be catholic

salaam aleikum

there was a quote by a Muslim actress..can't remember her name, but it goes something like this

"most Muslims are not terrorists but most terrorists are Muslim"

and this is so true.

but believe me, the terrorists aren't the only ones who are causing non-Muslims to hate Islam.

what about the protests that got violent when the cartoons in the Danish paper was published? what about the protests that got violent when the Pope said what he did? Besides the violence, there were many threats of violence towards those who are from Denmark, some other parts of Europe, or towards Catholics after what the Pope said. In fact I remember 2 churches were set on fire somewhere and it even turned out not to be Catholic churches.

Gee, if us Muslims are going to have a big outcry against violence towards Muslims like what happened in the US after 9-11.... well, then the Muslims around the world need to set an example, don't they?

there is NOTHING that justified the things they did. There is NOTHING that justified the terrorist acts like 9-11.

the world saw the footage of the protestors that got violent or who were holding up threats against non-Muslims on signs or who were shouting death threats and violence towards non-Muslims.

yes, there were non-violent protests but there was a lot of violent or hate filled ones too.

even though you or I may never commit any of these kinds of acts, the fact is we have too many brothers and sisters in Islam who seem to live with so much hate in their heart that they have strayed from the right path.

I have never known any Muslim (I myself included) who thinks any of these acts are justified and we are all appauled and saddened about all of them. We condemn all of it. There are many many more Muslims who think the same... but unfortunately, we are not the ones who get the spotlight in the media.

whenever I see footage from those protests I am always asking myself if they have forgotten all about dawah.

you know, I do not know how many protestors there were after the Danish cartoons or the Pope's speech, but I am guessing it was maybe in the high tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands.

there are also other bad things that are CULTURAL that Muslims do and people are learning about them. Things like men who abuse their wives (which happens all across the world in all religions), honor killings, forced marriages, women not receiving their full rights etc... ALL OF THESE ARE AGAINST ISLAM, but there are cultures that practice, and tolerate all of these things. And each generation keeps learning about them and somehow even learn that it is part of Islam, which is completely false!! But it does happen!

I myself would not have become Muslim if I had never picked up a copy of the Qur'an myself because the only Muslim friends I had at the time were not very respectful of women. They are no longer my friends now but who knows how many people get turned away from Islam because of Muslims who set bad examples?

there are many more of us that don't agree with any of these acts that I have spoken about, correct? I am sure if we got out and protested against terrorists, and against those who threaten violence towards all non-Muslims and spread hatred of them, that we would really be noticed. We can go out and get even more people than any of those protests and protest peacefully, but get loud that we do not condone those who use Islam to justify terrorism, the cultural practices that deny women their rights, honor killings, forced marriages, etc...

just saying "terrorists are not true Muslims" just doesn't cut it... we need to do things to make sure these terrorists hear that we do not condone what they do and that what they do is outside the folds of Islam.

then the world would definitely KNOW that most of us don't condone these things.

I know there are lots of non-Muslims who do not like Islam because they feel that the good Muslims are staying silent. And the silence does not help anyone.

So in short, I am not surprised there is lots of hatred against Islam and against Muslims. It saddens me, but I am not surprised.

Islam is perfect, Muslims are not.
We Muslims are supposed to be an example to others...and while there are many good Muslims, there are also many that have forgotten to be examples... instead they became arrogant and think they are better than everyone.

I know my post is really highlighting the negative side of Muslims, but we really need to start getting critical of ourselves.
