supposedly he created man with free will, so interfering would have been against his plan.

Of course, we all know free will is a myth

Nope

It may have been slim odds, but a flaw. Nope

It would seem that God wanted to created a sensient being without the concept of prejudice, without conscious judgementalism.

It's almost as if God was a behaviorist trying to prove that the Freudian motif was invalid under natural development.

Satan stired up the works and showed God how easy it was to turn man into a consiciously judgemental being.

At that point in time the experiment was flawed, not by God's design, but by outside intervension. God was then faced with two choices, wipe out the experiment or allow it to develop on it's own without any further intervention.

God did not chose genocide even after man became very corrupt on his own.

We saw God and Satan spar with Job.

Once again we see God tries not to willfull intervine, while Satan does. It's all about Man's ability to resist temptation and be more rightous and man often fails miserably.

Satan seems intent on proving this and God seems to have faith that man will develop in the proper way.

God has intervined on several occasions.

Ultimately, man is now in the Freudian motif and the Id wins out over the Ego and Super Ego much of the time. The child wants to have their way.

Under the behaviorist motif flaw was possible. Man, for example, grabbing a peach that was not ripe and eatting it and spitting it out. That is a potential judgement call, but it is a knee jerk reaction, which is acceptable in the behaviorist motif.

But would man make an arbitrary "judgement" on that tree being "not good."

OF course we aren't privy to why God created us and why God forbid the knowlege of Good and Evil, we can only make modern conjuecture.

Flawed. No.

Remember, Eve sinned first. She convinced Adam to follow. No Adam's sin was not a flaw in God's plan. It was a way of God allowing both Adam and Eve to have free will.

I do not believe that the sin was by design but the fact that Adam had a choice to follow the sin of his wife was by design.

A very Good Question!
I do not think that Adam's sin was a flaw in God's plan & that God saw what would happen in the future. I believe that is says in the Bible/Koran/Tora that God had planned & knew that man would rebel and that was why God through Prophets told the world that he would send his son to save the world & that one day each person would be judged for their own actions.

If each person was to live by this one simple ideal then I think that this world would be a far better place: Treat others how you expect to be treated.
And remeber that we are just humans & cannot get everything right.

He gave two conflicting commandments; the first to multiply and replenish the Earth (although in their case I think it was plenishing the Earth) and the second not to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. In order to fulfill the first (and more important) Adam and Eve had to partake of the fruit. Satan did not know the designed plan, and tricked Adam and Eve into being able to fulfill the first commandment and to start the human race. (This is just my opinion from here on, in no way doctrine) God needed a reason to take them out of the Garden, so his plan was for them to sin to fulfill the more important commandment, then he could take them out of the Garden so that mortals would not become immortal by eating the Fruit from the Tree of Life. Hope this answer clears things up for you a little.

God knew that Adam was going to fall. He planned for it. So, I believe it was not a flaw in his plan. But do NOT get the idea that God plans for people to sin. That just is not true. Hopefully, this answer makes sense.

God designed man in his image. Man was given a conscience having the ability to make his own choices. God didn't want to make robots that loved and lived for him. So when Adam sinned it was his choice to go against the will of God. The funny thing is that God knew that Adam would sin because God is omnipresent (in regard to Time: God was, God is and God is yet to be) and exists out of Time. I believe that God designed man even though that man would turn away from their creator. God knew that some would come to know him and some would not.....but then again we are not robots.......

I believe by design. He can see the end from the beginning...He knew if he told Adam & Eve not to eat the fruit, eventually Satan would tempt Eve and Adam would also eat. What is interesting that Satan DIDN"T know that was the plan all along...do you think that if Satan knew that by tempting Eve and her eating, that Adam would eat, that they would be cast out and bear many children, that there would eventually be a Savior of the world, that all prophecy would be fulfilled, there would be a Second Coming of Christ and Satan would eventually be bound forever??
Wow.
It was definitly in the plan.

Neither probably as god gave us free will and so it was Adams choice to eat the apple, we're lucky God gave us free will, but it's God who gets all the blame for the bad things happening in the world!

Adam would not have sinned if Eve had not listened to Satan, and he deceived the angel guarding the gate to Garden of Eden.
He disguised himself as another angel, it has been said.
But God made a way in Christ
