I'm a Muslim, and I have indeed read the Quaran/Koran -- And yet only have come upon a limited number of seemingly violent verses, that were based upon a war against Islam in the past.

The rest of the Quaran, however, is filled with peace and religon.

From what I see, most people who judge us by terrorism and violence that idiotic lunatics have done; have based their knowledge and false information on unaccurate racist websites.

Why don't these people read the Quaran itself and point out the "violent" verses -

And then the peaceful verses?

You can't just take away a small part of something and leave the rest - As in this case it would be taking seemingly violent verses and ignoring the rest of the peacful (ect.) verses.

Those "Violent" Verses where based on a war against Islam (as I had already said) - Everytime, in the past, when a new religon was born, war raged against it.

Which is what happened with Jew's and Christians.

Not to mention the fact, (continued)

(Continued part) - that there are only a few seemingly violent verses in the Quaran and aren't based on slaughtering everyone out of no where - Just based on a war that has been passed.

Only some idiotic lunatics believed otherwise and brought disgrace to Islam.

If your going to show me the violent passages, then you might as well show me the rest of the Quaran as well --

I have seen those passages, and again I say, they were based on a war that took place against Islam hundreds of years ago.

This is my exact point, your basing your information on racist websites.

If not racist, false or your just pulling out any passage that has something to do with violence.

well you're probably right maybe those verses were meant for a long time ago and not for now and maybe the readicale extremist fundementalists are taking things out of context to meet their hate filled agenda anyway if more muslims such as yourself were to keep stressing this point then maybe people would open up their minds and hearts and wouldn't judge the whole group based on the actions of a few anyway i'm agnostic and i hope you enjoy the rest of your day

Jews didn't always have war made on them, they frequently initiated it to get to their promised land.

And your logic is flawed. If Hitler was also a school teacher and did great with kindergarten children, does that make him NOT a sadistic freak? If a movie has explosions and gunfire for 35 minutes and a love story for the rest does that make it NOT a violent film?

They quote passages from the holy Quran which suits them to make mockery of our religion, I have told them over and over again to read the Quran to fully understand it but these bigots play on only one line and that is Islam bashing. They do not take offense to what Capt butt pirate rules says about their holy cross they take that as a joke while over and over again they come with some very sarcastic answers about our Allah our Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) and the they say that they are not racists

They need to read the fatwa against terrorism

http://www.livingislam.org/maa/dcmm_e.html

but hey God already told us

[002.213] Mankind was one community and Allâh sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent down the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed. And only those to whom (the Scripture) was given differed concerning it after clear proofs had come to them through hatred, one to another. Then Allâh by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed. And Allâh guides whom He wills to a Straight Path.

Peace Be With You

There are some. But when I read it, I was looking for evidence as to whether it was correct, or erroneous. It came out erroneous.
