Do you believe that out all the religions one of them is right? Do you believe that when we die we will find out the correct religion?

An earlier question asked the opinions of Christians regarding the Thomas gospel, and that was one response.

If you are Christian, and do not consider the Thomas gospel part of Christian holy writ, why not?

If genetics and environment (things out of our control) don't affect our choices as is the case in Free Will, then why aren't all humans making the same identical choices? Why isn't everyone thinking the same thoughts and making the same decisions that they believe are best for themselves and/or the rest of the world?

i am a bahai girl, i am very unhappy, i have been on this site for 2 hours and i find ppl saying bad things about my religion with out even knowing what it is! isnt it a shame!!

why r ppl like this, why do they believe every thing some one tellls them, y cant they go and search for the truth instead of making up lies...

have any of u played the game chinees whispers, i think its nice coz it teaches u that when u say some thing to some one, it goes around and in the end its totally different then what u said!! thats how the world is working right now, dont u think?
dont u think its better to stop judging with out knowing what it is, and start finding information for ur self?

ppl might tell u allot of things, but u should not always believe them, u should always investigate for the truth because not all ppl r truthful, remember this it will always help u in life

This is an example of what I call a nice but frank answer. Please give other examples of "frank" answers.

Just ignore them. But we're not going away because there's a few bored people on here of any religion or no religion asking dumb questions. Why should we have respect for religion? Just because you believe it? What if you believed your religion gave you the right to kill me? Should I respect that belief as well?

I've seen at least five questions today demanding that one group respect the other. Instead of dividing everyone up into groups, creating *more* divisiveness, wouldn't it be better if everyone respected each other, no matter what their belief?

I know I'm crazy. That's fine. I just hate seeing discrimination about respect. Religion or not, we are all still human, yes?

Clearly we are taught "There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man" (Mark 7:15). Does this mean that while pitching might still be wrong catching is fine with Jesus?

Yes or No? If yes, how could this adult realistically become a Millionaire here in the US considering the circumstances? If no, how can Free Will exist?

background: I consider myself a lay-Catholic - I wont go into details. I am, however, interested in what is referred to as the Gospel of Thomas, which is believed to have been written by the disciple Thomas around twenty years earlier than any of the other Gospels. There is some overlap in terms of the contents, but there are also quotes, sayings, etc, that are unique to it. I know that the Vatican does not look at this as 'official' teachings, but what are the views of other Christian churches?

If you're not a Christian, why waste your time on the religious site - why spend so much time being critical of those who DO believe in God?

Does the Bible say anything about what specific sins can send you to hell? One sin in particular I wonder about is pre-marital sex. There are so many people out there who have pre-marital sex including myself. I'm worried I will go to hell for it. I am a good person otherwise, so I wonder if God would forgive me if I am a good person at heart even if I sinned or have pre-marital sex.

There is great speculation about whether Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John actually ever met/knew Jesus. According to Rev. Mark Roberts, and other Biblical Scholars, the estimated dates of writing are:
Matthew: 70-80 A.D.
Mark: 60-70 A.D.
Luke: 70-80 A.D.
John: 80-90 A.D.

Wow, they must have been pretty old! Considering the life expectancy back then was relatively short, it seems that it is unlikely that they knew Jesus.

What do you think?
