I had an art teacher years ago, in high school who claimed a woman was acutally Pope briefly, and the clergy fired her after they found out she was in fact a woman. Is this true? Did this happen or was she talking out of her butt again?
This is a serious question, and I'm not trying to offend anyone. I want to know. I'm not Catholic, and I can't find this information anywhere.

Yes that is a direct quote from Thomas Jefferson, founding father of the US. Do you agree with him? Why or why not?

When I was watching "Jesus Camp" (a documentary on Christian Fundamentalistm), Ted Haggard stated, "There are over 80 million evangelicals in America, and if they went out and voted, they could control the elections." So - in your opinion, is that frightening possibility?

Have you been healed by God on any level in this present age? Is Christian healing something Christians desire, or has the majority accepted the material law that states that Christian healing is a form of insanity, as it does not coincide with medical science and knowledge?

First, I am a Christian.
Why is it so hard for Christians to accept that evolution of life has occurred? How doe this not fit with the Bible? Why can't God have created life, and it evolved over time? Is it really that hard to understand that the men writing the Bible lacked the scientific concepts to explain it properly? The evidence of evolution exists all around us. Evolution doesn't have to mean that God doesn't exist. There are passages in the Bible that indicate that time doesn't exist for God the same way as it does for us. It just means that when the story of Adam & Eve took place it happened long after Creation happened. If God created everything, he created evolution and everything we find in the earth and in the heavens too.

Yes, there are some that point to evolution as a reason to abolish religion, but maybe that's all they have wrong. God gave us reason too, let's use it.

My understanding of Shinto and Buddhism is that neither has an afterlife quite like the Christian concept, except that Buddhism has Nirvana. Did the pilots really think that they would reach Nirvana by killing themselves and the enemy? How could they think that?

Not humanity as a whole, not in a scientific way, but the spark that makes one human--what is it, in your opinion?

the title question is partly to get attention - but here is my point ..... in america we are supposed to have a freedom of religion - and yet in the past few years the "judeo-christians" (whoever they are) are claiming that the u.s. was founded on judeo-christian principles - and ... (they further assert) since it was founded on "judeo-christian principles" ...it should continue to be guided by judeo-christian principles - (and where do you find these principles - why in the bible of course) - problem 1 - personally i dont care what the sourse of the principles is - i agree with almost everything america "stands for" - and two - if someone thinks they should be allowed to guide this country under those principles because it was founded on those principles, doesnt that take away from MY freedom of religion - personally i dont want to even hear a religious reference of any sort during a discussion of law or human rights - i am tired of that tactic, to the point of being offended by it

First he sayeth in the "Touch Me" scripture to "come on come on and touch me".

Then, he shows you that he doesnt even need to know your name, in order to love you, in the "Hello I love you" scripture.

His only ritual is that you love him "Two Times" a day.
