Because when man wrote the bible all those years ago it was to gain followers (and through them power) for the church and knowledge of DNA and evolution was of no use - also the bible was written when nobody knew about evolution and DNA, making the stories seem so much more believable. Makes you wonder how people can still believe the bible since NOW we do have science.

The theory of evolution was crafted by a man from his observations in the 1800's. None of that theory is in the Bible. Man has just recently grasp the concept of DNA, but what we know is just the surface of a vast working of the universe. God gave man a free will to decide his own path. God is so much more vast and complex then any of us can comprehend, but he is personal enough to love us. Ask some Christians what has happened in their life life that can only be God.

The bible was written before there was even glass! Let alone science, why try to teach a bunch of ignorant goatherds about evolution and dna when you have no greater science to work with than " if a white goat leaps upon another white goat, the kid will be white. If a black goat leaps upon a white goat the kid will not be white" It wasn't necessary at the time of the writing of the bible.

Do you want a serious answer? Okay: first of all, there is no god. Second, the bible was written, re-written, edited, forged, and censored by mere humans. Third, this occurred in classic and medieval times where both evolution and DNA were unknown to science, let alone to superstitious theologists. Fourth, most scientific insights were vigorously rejected and fought by theologists as long as they could.

The men who wrote the bible did not have the capacity to understand DNA or anything similar since their scientific progress was much less than ours is today.

Since men wrote the bible and it was written and edited during certain times, the "facts" and "truths" of that age were added into the bible even though many have been disproven over time.

First of all, God didn't write the Bible. A bunch of old men centuries ago did. They didn't understand evolution, or DNA or cloning. My biology ecapes me now, but what year was it that the Monk discovered gene traits in fruit flies? 1600's?

God intentionally left things out of the Bible to teach man to think for himself. Damn, I'm starting to sound like a believer LOL

Genesis 30:37-39
Then Jacob took fresh rods of poplar and almond and plane, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the rods. He set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flocks in the runnels, that is, the watering troughs, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink, the flocks bred in front of the rods and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.

it appears that they need only copulate near the rods and behold, spots appear. RodDNA!

Matthew 13:31-32 NRSV
He [Jesus] put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in the field; it is the smallest of all seeds...

epiphytic orchids have the smallest seeds, surely jesus and god the father would have remembered that!

Leviticus 11: 20-23
“All winged insects that go upon all fours are an abomination to you. Yet among the winged insects that go on all fours you may eat those who have legs on their feet, with which to leap on the earth. Of them you may eat: the locust according to it’s kind, the cricket according to its kind, and the grasshopper according to its kind. But all other winged insects which have four feet are an abomination to you.

4 legged insects?

please guess again, all christians who think that science is complimented by the bible!

He taught but we didn't learn properly to understand.
The One True God creates us, favors us with the physical, intellectual and spiritual education to understand His boundless love and to glorify His Name.
It is thanks to this proper education, we discover some mysteries in His creation such as electricity, energy, gravity, evolution, DNA, virtue, freedom, happiness, progress...
Without His education through His successive Messengers like Moses, Khrisna, Baha'u'llah...we would remain more ferocious than the lower creatures.
Please read the Holy Books to discover the truth for yourself.

There is nothing we could do to change it or make it better. What God talks about is how we are to interact with other people and that all people are His creation and we should remember that in our dealings with them. Those are things we can make choices about whether or not to give love. We could not have and still can't change DNA ect.
