Everybody gets a periodic performance review. I would say that God is talented, but careless. I would have to say "below expectations".

Anyone truly searching for meaningful answers would have a difficult time finding any here. There are too many trolls posting cynical, absurd questions for no purpose other than to upset others. Contrary to it's intended design, the Religion & Spirituality category is used heavily as a forum, which does not work well given it's current format. Does anyone else agree that this category should be dropped? If so, why? If not, why not?

Quran 33:57 YUSUFALI: Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.

So what does this chapter in the Quran later say about the consequences of this annoyance curse?

Quran 33:61 “cursed: wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered, a horrible murdering.” http://www.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/033.qmt.html#033.061

Muslims, doesnt this seem like a rather low threshold for being "horribly murdered" and then sent hellfire in the "hereafter"?

Great religion you got here...by the way, isnt it almost certain that, if Allah can be "annoyed", then everyone has almost certainly at some point annoyed him and now awaits "horrible murdering"?

Allah is a pathetic God if you ask me, like some fat crumpy sadistic gradpa with hemroids who gets "annoyed". Wow...a God who gets annoyed...cool religion.

The petals are out in the cold right now,
But the color is still vibrant red...
I'd let it die and wait for more,
But I'm watering them instead...
Even as the snow falls down,
My roses are toughened by weather,
Kinda like noses that have been broken,
Still able to rub together...
As I ponder what I learn from the Bible,
And remember what I learned from my life....
I realize that I'm not liable,
For the actions of the one with the knife...
As it pierces my heart, and my rose garden wilts,
The snow drifts to cover the bush...
It seems that the Roses just needed a break...
And Old Man winter just gave a good push....
My first line may seem a bit childish..
As I ask another question, pertaining to gardening...
If your soil is barren, would you work it with faith,
Or just give up and watch as it was hardening?
I'm not a gardner, Just gifted with words...
Or so I've been told..
Looking for insight from others today..
As I am only 32 years old.

I have realized how little I know about other religions, and I would like to know where other people are coming from, especially in evangelism. To that end, I would like people to provide detailed descriptions of your non-Christian Religion, or Christian denomination (especially Catholicism).

Jesus said that in evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign (no miracle) be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah: for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.''mathew 12:39-40). Jesus says ''NO SIGN.''He does not refer the Jews to blind Bartimeus whose sight he restored, the women with issues who was healed by merely touching him,the 2000 pigs he had destroyed to heal a man possessed,5000 and the 3000 people he had fed with a few pieces of fish and bread.NO sign, says Jesus BUT ONE! THE SIGN OF THE PROPHET JONAH! He is putting all his eggs in one basket. In the boat Jonah voluntiers to be thrown over board. was he DEAD OR ALIVE?ALIVE. The fish swallows Jonah and Jonah prays inside the fish belly. Was he DEAD OR ALIVE? ALIVE, for a dead man cant pray.Three days later the fish spits him out DEAD OR ALIVE? ALIVE!ALIVE! is the answer.

Seriously. I'd like to know the benefits. I can see the benefits for having a religion. You belong to a group that believes the same things as you, that support you, that are there for you. You have hope in something beyond you, you have a sense of purpose in your life, the list goes on.

If Adam and Eve both gave us natural sin by obtaining the knowledge of good and evil by eating from a tree of the same name, why then does it seem that we need only take a quick look around to convince ourselves of the minuscule possibility that it may never have happened.
