The petals are out in the cold right now,
But the color is still vibrant red...
I'd let it die and wait for more,
But I'm watering them instead...
Even as the snow falls down,
My roses are toughened by weather,
Kinda like noses that have been broken,
Still able to rub together...
As I ponder what I learn from the Bible,
And remember what I learned from my life....
I realize that I'm not liable,
For the actions of the one with the knife...
As it pierces my heart, and my rose garden wilts,
The snow drifts to cover the bush...
It seems that the Roses just needed a break...
And Old Man winter just gave a good push....
My first line may seem a bit childish..
As I ask another question, pertaining to gardening...
If your soil is barren, would you work it with faith,
Or just give up and watch as it was hardening?
I'm not a gardner, Just gifted with words...
Or so I've been told..
Looking for insight from others today..
As I am only 32 years old.
