They have to be! That would explain why they get so defensive when you ask certain questions.

No. Atheists are God's children in denial of their Father. About like me saying I'm just here by chance. My biological father had nothing to do with the fact that I'm here.

Well someone wanted to sound profound with thier question...
I think it just shows how confusing the subject really is for someone who doesn't know what it is like to be a Christian.

athiest means not a theist... to be a Christian is to be Christlike, I cannot be in denial, because Christ exists. It may be hard for someone who doesn't believe to acknowledge this, but believing by faith first comes from hearing and reading the word of God.
It is only because I believe that I am shown that God exists. I have heard Him, and seen His blessings in my life, which only CONFIRMS my faith, I know He exists so how can I deny Him? How can I live in denial when I know the truth is tangible, and ever present in my life?

If I suddenly were not to believe, I would be cheating myself and lying to myself out of blessings and a life of promise and redemption.
It is your choice not to believe, but for you to say I am in denial... is a severly erroneous statement. Because I believe I am no longer confused, I do not ponder the meaning to life, or what meaning my life holds, or should hold. My life is no longer a quest for seeking unanswered or unanswerable questions. I have found fufilment in my life, although it may be hard at times, but I no longer question it.
Life is alot clearer but still "we see through a glass darkly."

Thanks for your question.

Making fun of us again? I consider myself a christian but I don't just go to church to pray to god. We learn about other things, about friendship and helping others for example. I think of it as a way to live my life.

If you want to use the double negative in saying that Christians deny that God doesn't exist, then you may have a point.
