I'm not sure what you mean by your first statement "God or not, atheists will never be forgiven". Are you saying you will never forgive them? And what are you Not forgiving them for?

I'm not sure why so many people feel that because another does not view the world in the same way, or even a slightly similar way, as you do, that it must mean one does not have purpose in their life.

I think you should modify your statement. I was an atheist before.
so it should be: Atheists who never repent until the end of their lives will never be forgiven. But atheists who repent and accept Christ Jesus, the Saviour of the World, as written in John 3:16, no matter how great their sins are, will certainly be forgiven, just like the robber and worst criminal who was crucified together with Jesus, was forgiven and assured of a place in heaven by Him.

Pehaps at the moment there is no purpose in their lives, just to follow the constant cycle in nature and will finally return to dust or soil, to be recycled and used by other species of living things.

But many, according to prophecy, will repent before the end of the world, and you will be surprised to meet many of them in heaven. So keep on praying for them and do not give up!

Religion controls people through guilt. You are a perfect example. Religion teaches you that you are sinful, regardless of how you live your life. If a man lives a perfect life, does he still need to be forgiven? Oh, I forgot, a man can't live a perfect life.

Religion is just a way of controlling you.

I'm an atheist but I also believe in the survival of human consciousness. I can attain enlightenment without any belief in deities or a soul and that is the goal to which I aspire.

Nope - Atheists can be highly decent moral people who just happen to find morality rewarding because of how it makes them feel and the effect it has on their relationships. It is not necessary to attribute all emotion and morality to a deity.

Just because a person chooses not to believe in a Deity doesn't mean he or she is not a good person. I'm not an atheist so I cannot answer your other questions.
