Dogs themselves aren't considered "dirty" just their saliva and their urine.
The Prophet told us that if we came in contact with those we have to wash it off 7 times and the last time with sand.... a few years back scientists discovered that dogs' urine and saliva contain something (I forgot what it was) a type of germs that is pretty serious... ( i am not sure what they exactly found out... sorry) but it they found as well that sand cleans whatever they found. Sometimes the Prophet tells us to do things without an apparent reason... reasons that we didn't discover yet or probably won't.
Islam allowed us to have dogs in times of need, like farm dogs, security dogs etc.

It is more of a fact than a simple claim. Muslims are following the advice of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) when he said not to keep a dog as a pet. Why? They carry germs and diseases. Rabies for one. However, a dog is only ok to be kept for strict reasons, like as a guard dog or a seeing dog for blind people. They are never to be kept as a pet companion. Furthermore, if by chance a dog licks a eating utensil of anyone, Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) has told us to wash it, the utensil 7x. The 1st 6x with water and the last one with dirt. Why? Becasue dirt has cleaning properties. This study was recently done by a non Muslim scientist. After doing this, he converted to Islam saying that Muhammad(PBUH) must be really a Prophet because it was impossible for an illiterate person over 1400 years ago to know such thing!

They are somewhat dirty in nature (eat their own feces and barf), always drooling and sniffing people's crotch :-/ but if there is a reason to have one (guard dog, guide dog, hunting dog etc.) then we can. If we do have a pet dog we have to thoroughly wash ourselves if his saliva touhes us/our clothing. We should always though, show mercy to all animals. Here is a story you might like:

There once was a lesbian (big sin in Islam btw) who was wandering the desert and was very thirsty. She saw a well and lowered her shoe down to scoop up some water. Next to her was a dog, panting and thirsty. After drinking her share, she lowered the shoe back dwn and got some water for the dog to drink. Because of her compassion towards the animal (however small of an act it was) it is said that God allowed her into heaven (even though she was non-Muslim and a lesbian). That's why we should be kind t all animals in God's creation. Peace and bblessings.

surely, canines and cats the two have the comparable micro organism of their mouths, neither is purifier than the different... And that's somewhat worth by using fact the their mouths are 70 % purifier than someone's mouth and you surely do no longer suggestions cohabiting with people, do you? they're greater probably to make you ill than animals. there is usually an excellent difference between cultural/religious ideals and technology, no rely which faith you stick to (or no longer). All living creatures may be skill vectors for zoonotic affliction. in case you're no longer immunocompromised, then you certainly choose for no longer subject medically, in basic terms wash your arms, that's a reliable concept to do besides in case you have been in public, paying for, touching a the grocery cart or doorknobs, etc. good hygiene is usually a reliable concept. And via the way, relatives canines have been genetically engineered via people and that i in my opinion have faith featuring the duty of being their stewards considering they rely on us for well being and happiness. All creatures deserve compassion.

Because the dog saliva contains contaminated substances which r filthy and highly infectious, and not found in cats
i can breed a dog only if i have a garden to guard my house, not in my house , to guide the blind people, we have mercy with animals but not at expense of our health and comfort

by the way the according to justmyinput story it has some mistakes he was a man not a lesbian
and he was not muslim but he wasn't a gay
