I was thinking of this exact thing, when they were discussing Gerald Ford death on tv this morning. When he was president they were so critical of him and his decisions and now that he is dead he is being labled as saint. It is one of those cases where when you are doing something no one see the good until you die, go figure.

No. I don't think its funny. In your case I am certain that people say good things about you that you are unaware of. No doubt even for you it is more critical than good however, and what that tells me is that people have a need to talk trash. Probably the disapproval of their insides coming out. I also talk trash but usually (almost never) about individuals. Its more like why are people soooo stupid, especially here in the south. Don't they notice the shelves have less stuff on them, that the cans of soup got smaller, that vegitable soup is now basically noodle soup, that news is now a tell the people what they want to hear proposition, that republicans have been crooks for as long as I can remeber, that people continuously start off with good ideas and then turn into weak sticks and conform to the crooked ways of the woprld, and then there is that most obvious how could anyone think we start with a blank slate or are good and are taught to be bad, cuz if we were really good then wouldn't we teach each other to be better, how on earth do people miss the sin in the flesh staring them in the eye 24/7. Maybe they don't and thats why we are always saying bad stuff about our neighbor. Really though we should not enjoy it cuz it is not funny. Do I know how to ramble or what. Realy I just stopped by to say happy new years from ichee and me.
I know you don't think it is funny either. One thing for sure we all are actually better people after we die.

I just stopped by to c what condition my condition was in. Happy new year. Miss u 2. I think u r a really wonderful person. I read your answers all the time and must say it makes me feel better that people find fault with you because if people find fault with you then I should definately not pay any attention when people fill me full of holes. Your answers edify me. I only wish I could be that positive, to people, but I think I too pick up the negative first, but out here in the real world I keep it to myself unless they ask and then I charge big bucks to help them see theirselves, so they can make corrections.
Did you ever just take a passing glance at this new avatar and think it was some wierd dinosaur.?? Keep up the good work you are a fine example.

I don't concentrate on how my loved ones died but rather how they lived the only thing you take with you when you die is how you lived. I don't believe in remembering when people die I honor people when they are alive. In this world of e-mail. technology people are just "too busy" to just sit and talk and have a soft drink together. It is sad that the only time people seem to get together other than an occasional BBQ is weddings and funerals.

I hope after I die I get to hear what's said about me. I want people to say that I always tried to treat others well. I don't want people saying how great and nice I was and all those other lies.

I don't know how old you are, but you already have a lot of good things other can praise about you. Maybe someone haven't told in front of you or you didn't pay much attention when they said.
No matter what others say to you, it does not make your life more precious or less important.
How do I know? I practiced a lot not to judge others, then I could be able to not to judge myself and start love myself. (Recommend you to try, too :-) )

You should see the Grahm chapman funeral- what John cleese had to say about him. (Monty python)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=otHmlkz2M2w
Also, check out the book "Speaker for the dead" book 2 of the "Enders game"
(science fiction- author Orson Scott Card)
The concept there was that someone came and spoke the truth about a person who died- good or bad, no BS.

I'm already "great and nice". I don't need to die for people to think that.

That isn't necessarily true...people MAY have good things to say about you...they just don't say it to your face. They may talk about it with someone else, or just keep it to themselves...that is why we need always let people know what they mean to us before we lose them...because we never know how long we will be together, and we need them to know we care

Well, you know the old saying: You never know what you have, until it is taken away. Funny thing that.
