And part of being human ensures that at some time you will discriminate.
For instance: do you think it is I should be Ok with people who think that my country is the root of evil and they will lay down their lives to kill my family?
Sorry, but I'm not Ok with it.
I discriminate, disrespect and disagree with them to my core.
I believe it's called human nature.
You can ignore it, but it won't ignore you.

Yes, it would be better and interesting to not be put into groups, but unfortunately not everyone would agree with this. I think I would find different beliefs and cultures interesting and it might open my mind to wanting to try different things or travel different places. In the end we are all only human and if we could all learn to live togeether without all the hate than it would be great. But then again sometimes conflict is not necessarily a good thing but what would the world be like if we all agreed on everything and got along so well?

While I agree with the general tone of your question--I am so tired of the petty name-calling and baiting from all sides on this forum--I have to admit that I myself find it difficult to respect those who think they have the right (nay, duty) to think for others and tell them what they must and must not believe or how they should live. I believe in the right of each individual to choose her own faith or moral philosophy and live according to it without undue interference (i.e., so long as none is harmed and no one's rights are abridged).
Yes, we're all human, and as such we're all entitled to respect. But what do you do about those who refuse to respect others?
Nice question, angk.

you're absolutely right why can't we all just agree to disagree and just debate in a civilized manner instead of all the name calling that goes on around here at the end of the day we are all human beings and we should look at eachother as a human being and not by what our religious or non religious points of views are

You're not crazy. People want respect but are unwilling to give it.
How does it make sense to want others to respect your beliefs when you don't respect others' beliefs? It's a two way street.

Respect is something that we should give a default amount to everybody when we meet them. After that, respect can grow or wane as they earn or lose it.

I respect all religions. That don't mean I have to agree with them.

I think some people on here just like to start controversy. I just laugh it off, because it's bogus arguing with them.

Further more, my respect is not something that can be demanded. If you want my respect, earn it.
