Yes Christian must try to be vegetarian. But If a christian try to be a vegetarians is not because he love the animal but instead he want to serve God better. Remember in genesis Adam and Eve eat fruits not meat. when we eat veggies or fruits we stay healthy, so if we are healthy we can serve Him(God) better. so being a vegetarian is one way of showing how much we love our creator.

No, Christians have absolutely no obligation, Biblical or otherwise, to become vegetarians. The Bible explicitly says, in the New Testament, while talking of Paul's experience with Cornelius, that all things are blessed for eating. This includes animals. While there are dietary restrictions in the Old Testament, the New Testament ushered in a period of grace, whereby Christians can eat anything they want to eat, so long as they respect their bodies and try to not succumb to gluttony. Go ahead and enjoy the steak. Christ ate fish by the sea.

Be a vegetarian if you like, but don't try to make it an issue of being Christian or not.

There are no rules or regulations or prohibitions against eating meat for either the Christians or the Jews. There are certain prohibitions on the eating of some animals, but not against the eating of meat in general.

As far as being a vegetarian, there again there is no prohibitions against it; but remember, God did give us canine teeth for a reason....

Therefore let NO MAN JUDGE YOU with respect to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day - things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ" (Colossians 2:16,17)

"But the Spirit explicitly says in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods, which God created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer" (I Timothy 4:1-5)

It is not necessary to be Vegetarian in order to practice humane love of all animals.God gave us Dominion of all animals and also for our food, clothing and use.We are to avoid abusing animals, humanely treat them, and practice a life of non-cruelty.Those who say in order to be spiritual we must be vegetarian are coming from a faulty perspective, and are indeed close minded and un-enlightened to the truth.

No. By this thinking they should no eat anything that is living (plant or animal) for love of life. God gave all, plants and animals, to fry up in the skillet and enjoy. And you can take that to the bank!

You can if you want. Some religions proscribe it; while Christianity doesn't, there's no reason not to be one if you want to. I'm not religious and am a vegetarian for numerous, completely non-religious (and for that matter, non-animal loving) reasons.
