KNOWLEDGE, by FAR!

KNOWING that the guy you are listening to is telling the truth and that what he says makes perfect sense has NEVER led to the mass suicides of the teacher's followers.

FAITH has, over and over again. even to this day we see FAITH acted upon everytime a zealot blows up his own car to kill in the name of that in which his FAITH lies.

Apples and oranges, here. Knowledge of a particular issue is the goal, faith is a way of obtaining the knowledge. You should be asking Faith vs. Reason.

You can use reason to arrive at knowledge, by examining the logic behind the claims, studying the pertinent information, looking at evidence, and following the reasonable path to your conclusion = You "know" something.

You can use faith to arrive at knowledge, by just trusting your source, or making it up, and trusting yourself.

The idea is that for you (or others) to truly consider something "knowledge" (you KNOW it to be true), You (or they) should want to hear WHY you consider this information "knowledge" and how you came to that conclusion.

Faith without Knowledge is useless. Knowledge and logic is always greater than faith.

Hello Mudcat,

well! you really need them both, because without knowledge of Gods word, how can your faith improve. The word says faith without action is dead, so therefore an individual should be seeking knowledge in the things of God in order to develop faith. I believe this principal apply to people who are also into motivation speaking. Some people are rich as of a result of there faith..

Knowledge is having the facts and the evidence to support them... Faith is a guess that one foolishly clings to for emotional reasons.

Knowledge is much greater than faith.

Stand at the edge of a cliff. Knowledge tells you that if you jumped, you would splatter at the bottom. Faith says that, despite all logic, you would somehow magically live, floating in air like a feather.

You can let either one run your life, but anyone with common sense knows that faith is not based in reality.

faith... the substance of things HOPED FOR; the evidence of things not seen (as yet). Belief in God who promises, and belief of the things promised, embraces all that is affirmable of faith. This is the faith without which no man can be well-pleasing to the Creator. One can have knowledge without having faith. God says we cant please him without faith. knowledge....Certain things, according to the Bible, are known about God, and without these things there can be no faith. The Bible teaches plainly that God has given to man a faculty of reason which is capable of apprehending truth, even truth about God. That does not mean that we finite creatures can find out God by our own searching; but it does mean that God has made us capable of receiving the information which He chooses to give. I say Faith is greater!

Faith is something you are born with intuitively and knowledge is variable. To some a person who is book smart is very knowledgeable and to others streetwise is the way to go. Comparing in my opinion is very difficult.

Knowledge -of course-Faith can lead you to kill or be killed which it has done tremendously in the past-and faith has fueled alot of wars-and knowledge seems to be the only way to overcome religious Dogma-and set your mind free..PEACE and LOVE

They go hand in hand. Faith comes by hearing the Word. So without knowledge what is there to have faith in? It would be like going to war with a weapon you have never used before.
