It depends on your values. If you follow Judeo-Christian teachings, then you're walking on dangerous ground if you sleep in a bed with someone of the opposite sex, due to the temptations that arise (no pun intended).

Personally, I think we should all make like the Amish and sleep with boards between men and women...even after marriage. You know, just so there's no temptation. Wouldn't want to do something that's natural just because one's pastor says not to.

They can sleep in the same bed before marriage, just not at the same time! (I have a feeling your pastors not concerned with the sleeping part of you question!)

Marriage is a political ceremony to validate the property rights of the couple.
Any religious association is simply to insure the partnership is recorded properly and recorded in public record.
Early America would never have happened if they waited on a religious marriage.
The pastor points to sin right? what a fool!

When God First created man and woman, "HE" Joined them together, the relationship was Man, and God, then He created woman, then as far as she was concerned it was her and God, then man met woman, the problem which we now live with is when man and/or woman put something or someone in God's place. Why not wait for marrage, think with your mind and not with you zipper. We like the thieves on the cross live in a world where we are just as dead as they, but we can not feel the nails. how much does a person walking in his own grave right now really need, "IF" this relationship will make your relationship with the "ONLY" person who can get you out, that is the second member of The Godhead Jesus Christ than fine but "IF" you do not know or if ANYTHING becomes more important then your relationship with Jesus Christ who gave up His divine body [still has His human body] for one like yours, and you can not even see past keeping God's law about waiting until marrage, how will God feel, and how will you feel when this act comes between you and God "FOREVER" pray about this, free bible lessons learn more www.itiswritten.com bible questions www.bibleinfo.com email me also wgr88@yahoo.com

I agree with your pastor...no sex before marriage and sleeping in the same bed leads to temptation too hard to resist.

Many of you speak of temptation. Temptation of good or evil? God never created marriage.........it was created by men 100 -150 years after the death of Christ. It was created to get order out of the chaos at the time. The Church was continuously trying to get control of sexuality, in particular women's sexuality, whom were considered to be guilty of creating the temptation. In our culture today we are only experiencing a back lash to almost 2000 years of the repression of human sexuality. It is too bad that the pornographers have the lead in this area because again women are the tempters and men the victims (they can't help themselves right?)

Same bed? That is boarder line because we all know what that will lead to. I don't believe it is wrong, sleeping with the woman before marriage is what is wrong. Example, my cousin moved in with his girlfriend about 1 month before they got married. They planned to not "give" themselves to each other until after they were married. It was counseled that the do not move in together. They disregarded this counsel and as you can guess, they ended up having sex. Best practice is to avoid the temptation, but just sleeping in the same bed is not wrong.

I believe in old fashioned ways. Not only is it wrong for people to sleep together before marriage but it is also wrong for them to even be alone together before marriage. A courting couple should never ride in a car together alone. There should always be a chaperon.

How many possible times can people ask this same question?

They're sleeping, right? There's your answer. Are they having sex? You didn't say they were, so that's not a sin. But if you feel it is, then buy into it.
