This is an example of what I call a nice but frank answer. Please give other examples of "frank" answers.

Just ignore them. But we're not going away because there's a few bored people on here of any religion or no religion asking dumb questions. Why should we have respect for religion? Just because you believe it? What if you believed your religion gave you the right to kill me? Should I respect that belief as well?

Sorry, someone misunderstood my example. It was someone elses question, and I happen to see it and thought it was honest and frank. I didn't agree neccessarily, I just thought it was worth reading.

I prefer "frank" answers as long as they come from the heart..
I also believe that each of us has the right to believe in any way we choose.. However, don't be a follower just because someone says something is right, doesn't always make it right...Follow your own heart. It will guide you in the right direction! ~hugs~ ladybug

Actually, this site is not a chat group, as you call it, and the Yahoo Gods may well yank this question of yours. They've been kind of weird lately. I like both kinds of answers, frank and factual.

"Frank" answers are loaded with personal judgments and experience-based insights. They are nearly always emotive.

But why be offended by the emotional residue of a complete stranger on the internet?

To be offended by stupidity is just stupid.

The question will determine if the answer is factual or frank.

Facts are nice because frank can escalate into nasty.

I like both as long as they're respectful.

Anything devoid of stupidity is fine, thank you.
