How long is a piece of string. Good luck with this one there are thousands. I know someone who is studying this to gain their masters there are the normal ones ie uniting, baptist, evangalistic etc Then there are sub ones off of these that focus on certain parts of scripture. All it takes is someone to dissagree with what the pastor is saying and start up their own branch .... the rest is history

There are hundreds of denominations, yet essentially there are two main camps Catholics and Protestants. Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses are essentially cults. Catholicism came as a result of the conversion of Constantine and utilized various Roman trappings with which to create a "religion" (mans attempt to reach G-d). The original church which grew out of Judaism was the Messianic church as founded by Christ.

There is only one form of Christianity. Jesus told Nicodemus that you must be born again by the holy spirit. the rest of it is pure religion and all religion will get you is hell.Jesus hated religion. he wants a personal relationship with us.

According to the bible theree are only two. True Christianity based on scripture and the false Christianity based on doctrines of men. So there is only one faith and all others are counterfeit.

I only acknowledge two, Jesus only(Oneness) which is United Pentecostal and those who observe the trinity, which as far as I know is all the rest.

There are only three which one should concern oneself. Catholic, Greek Orthodox and LDS (Mormon). No others claim divine authority for what they teach, practice or the rites and rituals they perform. Only these three claim to have the authority given to them directly from God himself. The others have no basis, other than the Bible, for the actions they take or the words they preach.
