I'm tired of all the rediculous questions I found in the religion&spirituality forum and I'm tired of reporting ppl because of their dumb questions. Anyone else fed up?

To those that think I report those whose ideas I don't agree with, I must say that I only report those using bad words.

I seem to of stepped on some toes, I apologize for that. The reason for my having asked this question was that I read one too many silly questions(ex:I wonder what position Adam and Eve conceived their offspring?) I shouldn't of let these questions get to me.

There was a similar question to mine a couple of days ago and I remembered my answer being similar to the answer I chose as the best answer for my question. Thank you all for all your varying answers.

I'm fed up of Christians who think this place is just a bible study forum in which everyone automatically agrees with each other (not that THAT sounds much like Christianity, eh?)

I respect everyone's right to believe whatever they like. If they express ignorance of what I believe in order to bolster up their own fragile beliefs, it's my duty to put them right. If they do it without respect, I can repay that with interest.

If you were really so worried about people showing disrespect you'd be pointing out to fellow theists that their "Why do non-believers come here/celebrate Christmas", "You'll all find out you're wrong when you're dead ha ha" questions are a little far from respectful. I don't ask "questions" like that and I only open fire on the terminally idiotic. Take it or leave it.

Sweetie do you realize how closed minded and arrogant that sounds?

The forums are Religion & Spirituality which is inclusive. That means there will be people here who have different beliefs from yours. It should be a forum for open discussion and sharing rather than a "you're different from me, go away" free for all.

If you mean "Non-Christians are responsible for all the immature, childish posting and nonsense on these boards" then we have an even bigger problem. Immaturity comes in all sorts of belief structures. To say that "non-believers" to use your words are solely reposnsible is abhorent.

We have all seen rude, immature, crude, horrible comments here. They come from the mouths of Fundamentalists, Catholics, Islamists, Pagans, Atheists, Agnostics, and just about everyone else. Sometimes it's in the name of their, "right" theology and sometimes it's just to be a pain in the rear. Saying it's 'nonbelievers' causing it would be the same as saying 'redheads' were the cause.

Perhaps these forums can be a way to exchange ideas and thoughts rather than simply mudslinging.

Flame away, I love you all :)

Blessings,
Zimmi

Well, I get fed up with people criticizing me for not believing in their particular religion. Religion is a personal issue, but many people think they can foist their own opinions on other people. Believe what you want, but let other people believe what they want. Unfortunately, most people don't do that.

And why are you so eager to "report" people? Why are you "telling on them" because they don't agree with you? Do you really think the folks at yahoo care ---you need to look at some of the health forums and see what is being discussed there!

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.
As far as reporting everyone you don't agree with, that is an abuse of the abuse function. In a free world there is supposed to be free expression.

everybody has a right to be in this section or on any section of yahoo answers and it doesn't matter if they're religious or non religious such as atheists or agnostics we are all human and we have a point of view that we want to share with everybody and if you don't like that then nobody is forcing you to come to this section and i don't say that to be mean but i say it as a piece of advice or you could just get thicker skin and stop being so sensitive and stop reporting people because it's pretty immature especially if there's no cursing or anything vulgar being said

I dont suppose you find yourself to be ridiculous when you have no respect for someone elses religion, do you?? Come on now - you know you have no respect for Islam - so why fake like you do? Why do you insist on telling unbelievers that they are destined for hell - is that "tolerance" in your mind?

Its nice to know that your pious self has been acting as the Yahoo police, reporting people for "dumb" questions... Dumb according to who? You? Since when are you an authority on dumb? What you find dumb others find entertaining. And, now I know why my quesitons get deleted....

Unbelievers might be here because they are curious. Who knows maybe they are looking for something...maybe not.
I don't think that anyone should stop coming as long as they have a question or an answer.

I just ignore the banal.

Can the christians who won't have respect for others's beliefs not come here then too?

I'm definitely fed up with all the ridiculous questions to "unbelievers" by arrogant christians who think that Religion and Spirituality only pertains to them and ESPECIALLY fed up with all answers being nothing but chopped up scriptures taken out of context molded to fit whatever these "believers" want to throw at us because we refuse to accept their version of "truth".

So, if we're all agreed then.. FANTASTIC! I'm all for it!

Stupid questions, trolling, etc, yes, I am sick of...

However, criticism, on-topic questions, etc. are welcome. Atheists (some at least) are here to learn more about the thought processes of believers. I want to understand why religion is interfering with my life, and in order to do so, I have to understand the people involved. I'm not trying to convert anyone, but trying to understand the literal thought processes.
