i am a bahai girl, i am very unhappy, i have been on this site for 2 hours and i find ppl saying bad things about my religion with out even knowing what it is! isnt it a shame!!

why r ppl like this, why do they believe every thing some one tellls them, y cant they go and search for the truth instead of making up lies...

have any of u played the game chinees whispers, i think its nice coz it teaches u that when u say some thing to some one, it goes around and in the end its totally different then what u said!! thats how the world is working right now, dont u think?
dont u think its better to stop judging with out knowing what it is, and start finding information for ur self?

ppl might tell u allot of things, but u should not always believe them, u should always investigate for the truth because not all ppl r truthful, remember this it will always help u in life

Alhan - I believe you are correct in what you are saying.
A lot of people form oppinions within themselves and become narrow minded by their own oppinions. Mix that with a bit of passion for what they believe and they become stubborn. Once stubborn they become narrow minded and the pride of their belief kicks in making them impossible to sway.

They walk around life with blinkers on and anything that is against what they believe they either dismiss it or rationalize answers to suit what they believe. A lot of people stop searching for the truth after they have found something that will fix some needs in their life. Kind of like when you are hungry you cry when you are fed you stop crying. Some also believe that when they have found something that is good for them they have to convince the whole world that it is good for them also and ignore the fact that the other people might have found something that is good for them already.

Chineese whispers is a great game to demonstrate the power of interpretation and perception on what is said. Persception is reality and a lot of the time perception is emotionally driven. Once someone controls their emotions and relooks at a problem it is possible to get a different perspective on everything and heaven forbid they even might be able to see past their own ignorance.

I am sorry that people's complete ignorance of things different is so glaring here. The poster who seemed to find some historical fact blew her shot by choosing the bible as her source material. How awful that some people cannot believe that man as meant to be one and that all of man's religions can be accepted in one over arching human group. I have even considered Bahai but ultimately I determined that any religious affiliation in my life would be an hypocrisy.

Peace fellow babies.

I am a Christian and don't know anyone in the Bahai faith. But I have a book with information on it.

I already know it doesn't teach Christ, so am not interested in something that doesn't help me in my relationship with God. Christ makes the way for us to be restored to God. So I love God and can pray to God 24/7 any place and anytime. Other religions can't do that for me. My love and interest is in my God, and Truth.

But I am interested in others and why they have their beliefs. I care about others, so do have interest in their beliefs so have a book about religions. Maybe, I will read a little about the Bahai.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Sometimes through the selfless acts of others we are made aware that God exists. Sometimes people will lay down their lives for others, but not usually for people who are not good. Jesus Christ died for the ungodly. He shows us what true religion is, but there are many counterfeit religions in the world.

The way to know whether something is real or a counterfeit is to study the thing that is counterfeited; then you will be able to tell the counterfeit from the thing that is real.

The Bahá'í Faith is a religion founded by Bahá'u'lláh in 19th century Persia. Bahá'ís number around 6 million in more than 200 countries around the world.

According to Bahá'í teachings, religious history is seen as an evolving educational process for mankind, through God's messengers, which are termed Manifestations of God. Bahá'u'lláh is seen as the most recent, pivotal, but not final of these individuals. He claimed to be the expected redeemer and teacher prophesied in Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and other religions, and that his mission was to establish a firm basis for unity throughout the world, and inaugurate an age of peace and justice, which Bahá'ís expect will inevitably arise.

EDIT:
Y Doncha
In your own words, you are as bad as you say the Christians are, except you make it a point to call ALL religion CRAP!

I have never known of that unholy bahaai religion till this year , when some of them in Egypt made a lawsuit for them to be recognized as a holy religion and for god's sake it was refused thanks god i will tell u more about this imposter "baha Allah' whom proclaimed himself as a holy prophet a century and half ago.. he was a paranoid schizophrenic(psycho) character we see lots of him in the sanatoriums and dwelling half naked in the streets, and also they proclaim to be gods , prophets and saints, he believed that the pagan gods as Buddha were holy messengers from god, he abandonmed the luxurious life because nobody wanted to believe and lived lonely in the desert him till he became completely insane and his sick mind thought of mixing all the religions of mankind both the holy and unholy in one container to make his false believe so that he can make pig propaganda for his believes and decieve lots of people
and it was not his fault , it was the fault of the fools who followed him and believed in his insanity and for ur knowledge there r only 3 holy religions well known to everybody and anybody who denies that is a heretic
by the way i have visited ur website and i found it all a myth u shall post ur questions about the bahaai under the folks and mythology category, this will sound more reasonable

Should Eve have listened to the serpent ? I think not. Your theory sounds so reasonable yet it opens the door to much deception.I am not suggesting we be rude, but lies told that appeal to our flesh need strong rebuke in certain situations. John the Baptist called those who came out to question him " a generation of vipers " Jesus called those who sold in the temple " a den of thief's " Paul withstood Peter to his face in front of the whole church because he was neglecting the duties given him.And if you had investigated the truth about Jesus as you suggest, you to, would be a Christian. Please take note of those who agree with you, look at their 360,look at some of their Q&A's,and just see how they line up.

I respect your religion and your beliefs but i stand firmly upon mine! Thank you for sharing it with us! I believe strongly in that there's no god but Allah and Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is His fiinal messenger!

Our Prophet peace be upon him taught us that there'll be people who will come after him and claim to be prophets, but their claims will be false. Religion isn't like food or clothes which we must change once the trends over, etc. Religion is something strong! Something we are born with, have faith in and die with! We can't change our beliefs all the time. Religion is something serious!

Hope you understand!
Take care!

My dear, being important enough to make you happy or unhappy is a privilege and not a right.

I argue that those who make claims about your faith without understanding it do not deserve this privilege; simply do not grant it to them.

no disrespect meant, but if you are confident about your religion, absolutely nothing anyone says should even remotely annoy you. God Bless.
