I'd like to hear only from Christians for obvious reasons. Other answers will make it difficult to separate the various facets of the replies.

It seems like somebody asks a question and then there are like twenty seven answers that are like, "yes." "no." "maybe." "nope." "that's a good question." "hmmm."
Do people just do it to rack up points? Why would you do that? Those points are completely meaningless! And please don't be cute and say "yes." "no." to this. Why would somebody sit there and answer question after question with dull short statements? What the hell is this world coming to?

i did alot of stupid things in my life and i don't think i can turn around and get back on track again. I don't know what's wrong with me, i can't even cry it out. i just stare at the wall sometimes and feel the disgust of sin that has become one with my flesh.

on the top of the christmas tree? i know the story of the wise magi following the star to the manger that christ was in, but why have a 'five' pointed star because that is the pagan symbol used to worship nature and the divine spirit.

Sars are not even pointed they like the sun (wich is a star) are orb shaped, but not perfectly round.

thats why my family always put an angel on the top of the tree, and not the star.

If you believe that the Bible is the true inspired word of God, then where do all these weird ideas about God, Jesus, hell, forgiveness, punishements, etc. come from. Some of the answers I see people giving to others are "way out there". I've read the Bible... Should study it more, but, WOW, some of this stuff is really silly... Just wondering...

In my flat we have respectively: a convert muslim in the basement: Two Episcopallians on the first floor, a Jewish guy who is obliged to do his national service for the Israelis and the rest as far as I can ascertain are either Agnostics or Atheists. We argue about common repairs, we complain about the weather and we certainly don't agree about the best football team.. but we get along. Are we all sleep-walking into damnation.. or is this the way to be!

I heard on the news today that in some town the town council told a citizens organizing a Christmas festival not to make it too religious because it might offend non-Christians.

Im sorry but has the world completed turned on its head. The first word of Christmas is Christ. How can you ask people to seperate the two. And what in the world would non-Christian want to participate in a Christmas activity.

I wouldn't go to a Hannukah festival and ask to put away the candles, or an Irish festival and ask people not to wear so much green. Would it make sense to go to a Chicago bull stadium and request more pictures of Lakers be in the building. I just dont get it. We are going PC to the point of insanity.

We will soon be a nation without thought or definition because we will only be allowed to think and do things that doesnt offend somebody. How sad?

I've heard people say the when you are sent to heaven or hell, you stay there for eternity. But how would it be fair to either reward or punish people eternally for a life that is usually just a mere 70-80 years? Seems unbalanced to me, and I've always seen balance as a key element of justice.

Or is it if you believe in him completely and sin he doesn't send you to hell at all but he just punishes you.

Does God punish you for being jealous, insecure, angry etc. or is it severe crimes.

I don't know why but everyday I am afraid to be punished by God even if it a little thing like getting angry.

I've heard people say that they just believe what they believe and don't really need proof. That they have complete faith in their religion/spirituality, whatever form it may take, and it isn't really about proof. But I don't really understand how someone cam be content in that state of mind. When I notice that I believe something without any real proof, it motivates me to seek proof or makes me feel like I have been decieved, either by myself or whoever else. That's how my mind works. And I just cannot understand how people can acknowledge a lack of evidence for beliefs on such important existential matters and still be OK with it. Can you help me understand?
