Where I come from, the catholics schools will not allow non catholics into their territory ...unless of course you have a nice big donation to give.

Please, hold up on the shabby answers, because it's the truth!

I would like to know how you came to this knowledge.
Was it from a church? Which one?
Was it from reading the Bible?
Do you currently observe them?
PLEASE ANSWER ONLY IF YOU DO. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANSWERS THAT SAY THEY ARE NOT FOR CHRISTIANS.
THANK YOU.

I go to a Catholic school, so this does not really apply to me, but my mom teaches at a public school. I was wondering what parts of religion should and should not be allowed in school.

Since he prepared his disciples for impending showdown."when i sent you withou purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything?" And they said "Nothing". Then said he unto them,"But now,he that hath no purse, let him take it,and likewise his bag, and he that hath no SWORD, let him sell his garment and buy one!".....Luke 22:35-36
"Behold, i send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, be ye, therefore as wise as serpent and as harmless as dove" ......Matthew 10:16

"And behold one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his SWOR, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and cut off his ear"......Matthew 26:51

Why, if atheists and agnostics or whomever, don't believe in Christianity, do they insist on responding to questions directed to those who DO believe? Typically, their responses are demeaning and hateful and I just don't understand it. The same would apply to Christians responding to non-Christians. If it doesn't apply to us why not leave it alone? There's no reason to be caustic with people who don't think the same. No wonder there have been so many "holy" wars.

POWER TO THE FREE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD

2006-11-30 00:46:05 · 10 answers · asked by Anonymous

i dont think God want us to fear him. II believe he is all love and i find it absurd that he would be planning on the destruction of the world. I think that religion in general put fear on us so that would buy into anything they tell us in order to save our souls. I dont think i have to go to church to tell someone my sins if i dont even know that person. Yet i feel very close to the one. Why would i fear God then? i'm a sinner yes but i dont regret anything i dont think im evil i havent harm anyone and i love everything and everybody in this world. If i were as to give my life for this world i would. Yet i'm still a sinner that should fear God and go to a building to hear someone elses point of view? why do we buy into everything they say ? how many people go to church because they truly like it ? i dont think many. i think most people go for fear looking for a magic pass to salvation. Other just go because of routine. What about me then? i dont fear god because i know he is all love.

I played "Lucifer" backwards and it said Murder, 666. No kidding!!
Then someone told me that when he speaks of the name "Hova" as himself, that's blasphemy. And if any knows the bible, that's the worst sin besides killing yourself. Also, if your obsessed with something, its like your praising it. And I see so many people chant "Hova" and throwing up the Roc sign like he's a God. Im a Jay-Z fan, but not to the extent to think he's God. He is just a human being like the rest of us. Do you think that we praise him too much and put him on this pedistool?

How is it that no one before or since has ever been documented to be that height or similar? What would cause such a thing?

In capitalism, the more choices available means that more people get what they want or need. However, if you convince people feel like a competing product is badly flawed, they're more likely to come back and buy your product.

(If you tell someone that one dictionary misspells words, they may be convinced to buy your dictionary instead. If you tell someone that another religion [or lack of religion] contains flawed truth, maybe they'll join your group.)

Are religions engaging in sophisticated marketing and negative campaigning in order to secure a bigger bite of the market?

How do you justify your belief that killing is wrong?

If there is no God, there is no absolute standard for right and wrong. If there is no divine decree of "Thou shalt not murder", then on what basis do you condemn murder? Why don't you celebrate murder as Evolution's method of eliminating the weak?

So if "religion kills", so what? What makes killing wrong? What is your basis for your judgment?

You have to borrow the morality of religion in order to attack religion!

We are all human and God gave us a mind, the same brain. but Christians don't wanna admit that their belief is not acceptable by the brain that God gave us.
our brain is from the best thing that God gave us and created in this univers.
Also we don't forget the heart, where we feel everything
If God came in the flesh, so who was in control of this univers?
If you come in a car, don't tell me that you still at home also.
if so there is 2 bodies not one in the car and one at home.
the same thing for God, if you claim that he is in the flesh, so nobody is in control in heaven.
so God is still one.
If God is the father and Jesus is the son!!!!, a human son ?
I still didn't see an apple tree giving bananas.
and God still in need of no son, no familly, because he is God he is capable to do whatever he wants from above his throne.

If Christians are wrong, they have lost nothing.

If you (in your current spiritual condition) are wrong, well, you know.

So why not, just to be safe, join us?

I said a prayer for you, and we'll see what happens.

None of the prophets before Jesus (PBUH) mentioned the son of God, or the Trinity as an essential part of faith or belief, without which you are damned for all eternity. Instead they ALL preached a message of monotheism, a belief in One God, His worship, & gave us commandments. Yet, Christianity would have us believe that because ALL of us sin, there is no way we could do enough good deeds to get us in to heaven. Instead we should believe in the doctrine of the trinity (again, alien to ALL the prophets that came before Jesus (PBUH)) & abandon the things in the old testament, about praying (as Jesus himself did) Matthew 26:39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.", fasting, not eating pork, usury....etc. Basically do what you like, as long as you believe that Jesus died for your sins & accept that fact, you've got a ticket into heaven?

Most Christians are quick to agree, on the surface, that God is completely sovereign (He controls all things) but when it comes to saving His people, suddenly many appeal to the "freewill" of man and claim that God voluntarily "limits" Himself to allow for the freewill of man to determine who will believe and who will not.

Where is anything like this in the Bible?

Since the death of Jesus on the cross is the centre of all Christian theology. All statements about God, about creation, about sin and death have their focal point in the crucified Christ. All christians statements about history, about church, about faith and sanctification, about the future and about hope stem from the crucified christ. Blood for salvation, no blood no salvation.

What will happen to all their good deeds?
