Matthew 20:17-19 Mark 10:32-34 Luke 18:31-34 John 12:20-36, Jesus predicted his death, so He was well aware of it. And the Son of God was sent here for that purpose.

Are you a Christian? Not sure what you are really trying to say - that they had swords? So - what does that matter. They were human. If you are not a Christian - you are taking things out of context and looking for answers and trying to make sense of the Bible without the Holy Spirit - or spiritual eyes. Without the Holy Spirit's help, you will not clearly be able to read the Bible and understand it. I pray you find Jesus - He is the Way, the Truth, the Life. Without Jesus, you will not understand spiritual things.

No, He wasn't unaware of it.

John 12:23 And Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. 27 "Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? But for this purpose I have come to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven: "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again."

John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Matthew 20:27 and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Luke 24:19 And he said to them, "What things?" And they said to him, "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. 21 But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened. 22 Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning, 23 and when they did not find his body, they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. 24 Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see." 25 And he said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

He knew before the foundations of the earth. Remember God is the trinity. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Back in Genesis 1:26 God said let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeliness, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, etc.

read the whole story this time. Like the part where Jesus healed the high priests servents ear. Like the many times when Jesus predicted His own death. Like the places where He said he came to "lay down His life for the many"

WHAT ARE YOU READING FROM????
That's not the BIBLE!!!!

"One of them which were with Jesus",... cut off the high priest's ear. verse 51---and Jesus told him to put up his swordand that those that "take the sword shall perish by the sword."

YES, JESUS knew He was about to die.
MY BIBLE SAYS SO!!!

You must be a Jehovah's Witness with all that NONSENSE and masking the true words of the BIBLE.

Your question is a bit confusing, especially since the verses you used are not directly related to this part of his life and death. However, in answer to your question, Jesus was fully aware of the reason He was here. He knew he was to suffer, die, and be raised again in 3 days.

He willingly left his place in heaven to serve and save us in perfect love.
With all of his wisdom, power and glory it is overwhelming to think of - he has that kind of love for us, greater than we can imagine.
