God Almighty resides in kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism). This is the permanent abode of God the omniscient, God the omnipresent and God the omnipotent.
The kingdom of God is where all enlightened souls reach after gaining salvation (aka moksha in Hinduism). The kingdom of God where God resides is a one-way path. Every enlightened soul that has reached the stage of salvation (moksha) can enter the kingdom of God but vice versa is not possible.
Every soul (aka atman in Hinduism) reaches the abode of God only after gaining absolute purity... the original pristine form from where it had a started its cosmic journey of 8.4 million manifestations culminating in a travel of 96.4 million earthly years.
Every soul starts its journey after the occurrence of big bang. This cosmic journey of the soul ends the moment it reaches the kingdom of God. The journey starts with the first manifestation as an amoeba (single cell formation) and reaching the stage of a human being after having passed through 7.3 million manifestations.
In human form alone there are 1.1 million types of manifestations. Thus for a human being to reach the stage of enlightenment and finally salvation requires a maximum of 12.1 million earthly years!
One very important aspect of life is being made clear. Most human beings on Mother Earth understand that reaching heaven (aka Swarga in Hinduism) is the end goal of life. It is not so. Heaven and hell (aka Naraka in Hinduism) are intermediate stages where it resides until it gets a manifestation on Mother Earth.
No soul can ever reach the kingdom of God directly from heaven. It is only as a human being that any soul can gain liberation from the cycle of birth and death. And this becomes possible when the human being gains enlightenment and finally reaches the stage of salvation (moksha). More on where is god- http://www.godrealized.com/god.html

HE TRUELLY IS E V E R Y W H E R E!!!!!~
Ask HIM.
He'll tell ya,
and be patient, because there are other things HE wants and needs to tell you first. Namely; about HIS SON, His name is JESUS, and He is a great guy...You need HIM if you want to bridge that chasm between yourself and GOD,
and once you do, you will never again have to ask; "WHERE'S GOD?"
Prayer, faith, and a King James Bible will help too. More than you know. Suggested reading; "The Gospels"..Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John: the first 4 books of the New Testament; these will tell you why JC is so important. Ask this fella into your life, and GOD will infact abide in your soul, heart and mind......forever. Remaining CLOSER to you than the very air you breath.

God is in every living thing. He's in the air you breath. The water you drink. The trees, the mountains, the sky, the clouds, the ocean, the plants and rocks. You just have to stop and be quiet for just a moment and you can feel his loving presence. And most of all he is in your heart and mind, when you accept Jesus as your savior.

You must have boundless mind and illimited vision to see the smallest sign of His finger. It is like a very gloomy ray at the far end of a very long tunnel will lead you to the sun. That ray is something similar to the Holy Book of the Messenger of the One True God.

Ha, everyone is answering everywhere, but really, God can only exist in your head. I am not necesarily saying that God doesn't exist, but really, that is the only thing you can be sure about. When God "talks" to you, where do most people say they hear it? the head, they may say "soul" but that concept most people really don't get, and most peopl's soul's area actually their minds.

God is omnipresent, meaning everywhere and sees everything - also in my heart (Holy Spirit). God is also in Heaven. Listen - Spirit of God can be many places - He is God. I pray you find the Truth - Jesus Christ.

God used to dwell in the heavens, but now he’s hanging out in cyberspace (since that’s now the best way to reach his creatures). He used to send plagues, but now he sends you spyware from infested websites. And then there’s the devil… but I have no time, it's late in my part of the world and I must get into bed quickly.
