Let alone God, most of us either secretly or openly wish to live for ever. Even right now you would be aware that they are people working hard to find cure of old age or medicine to get one to be young again. As for God, he has to be an immortal to be called God. There is no question whether he is happy or not to be an immortal. In Genesis, God drove Adam and Eve out of Eden immediately after they sinned. God was afraid both would go for the fruit from the tree of life and perpetrating their sin of disobedience for ever. This suggests that eternity is expected. Anyway, immortality is a promise of every religion to its followers. Clearly therefore, God or head of any religion has to be an immortal or assumed to be one by their followers, otherwise, their following would be faded out or disappeared.

God is Immortal
not
God is an immortal.

God, by His very nature, is Immortal; not that just happens to be immortal .... like some television stories about "immortals".

God isnt that much like humans, he doesnt have the same kind of emotion we do. In the bible, when it says he is sad or something, thats putting what he is into human terms, God cannot accurately be described in human terms.

God doesn't have the measly human feelings that we have. He gave us those but that doesn't mean he has those himself. No I'm not a christian and so I don't believe in whole anthropomorphized God.

i don't think he regrets it at all. Christians that go to heaven are going to spend eternity with him. not like he's gonna be alone, he's gonna be with his creation that he loves dearly. So i think he is very happy.
