Real Americans worship money, not God, where have you been?

As a Christian, my opinion is that most Americans worship money.

I believe that most Americans who call themselves "Christians" are actually money-worshippers, and it is for this reason they will back politics and people like George W Bush over things that Jesus taught. They claim to believe in Christ and worship Him, but the sad truth is that they vote according to their pocketbooks. They vote for war in Iraq because they want cheap gas. They vote for giving up their freedom, which will later impact their freedom to worship Christ, in the name of "security".

Most people worship America and the American Dollar over Christ, it's sad to say.

One last proof of this, look at all the so-called Christians who will only listen to those TV preachers that preach "prosperity doctrine", which is the false doctrine that God will give you a lot of material and monetary wealth if you first give to his people (the TV scam artist "evangelists"). People buy into this because they WANT to believe it and they WANT to get rich, they don't care for what God wants at all.

The Bible says, though, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." Some of these wealthy Televangelist scam artists and their followers who worship them and their money should pay attention to what Christ said, if they want to be real Christians.

Look on the dollar bill. It says "In God we trust." Do you ever wonder why it says this on American money? Look at the symbolism of these words, and how they are written on the money. Do you think this is a coincidence? Nope. It's a subliminal message. That money is God in America.

I think that more americans like to think that they worship God, but a lot of it is all talk, but really all of us in this consumer culture worship money to some extent.

They worship money, power and this life because they don't know.
Many americains are becoming Muslims, and now are on the straight path, they worship one God, they believe in his onness, they follow his commands and they live a better life. they don't care about this worldly life and short life, but they care about the next one, the real one, the true one. the money can do nothing for you in the next life.

Depends on how much is in their pockets... If they're full, the worship is toward the money.. if they're empty... well..

The churches get a little more crowded.

I believe we live in a society that likes to worship things that do not exist, money and god.

The idea of money exists, but everyone stopped believing that money had value first thing in the morning, it would stop existing. So does money exist.
