Yes. The Bible makes it clear that there is no marriage in heaven. THey're not waiting for you in heaven as your spouse, they're waiting for you as brothers or sisters in Christ.

According to Jesus, it doesn't matter what happens when you die. What matters is what happens when you are alive in this body.

You must drop the childish notion of heaven being somewhere else besides here. When a person dies their soul continues to find ways to experience existence. It can reincarnate, which means to become flesh again, or can become a more subtle type of being that doesn't require flesh anymore.

But to think that there are people dressed in white robes walking around on an endless cloud playing little harps is kind of lazy. I mean, even as a child this image, while easy to concieve, held a lot of uncertainty and raised a lot of questions such as how do the people not fall through the clouds and what is the size of god, and why can't we see heaven from here.

Heaven is a state of bliss. We can have that heaven here on earth if we all agree and make our lifestyles work well for everyone. However right now the world is a mess and most people only care about their own material gain and personal fun, even if it kills others. Even if it kills them.

So, the wives won't be waiting. They will have moved on to a new lesson of cosmic existence.

In case you were wondering because I may sound contradictory to Christianity, I am Christian because I believe in and practice Christ energy, which is the ability to heal, be a channel for and preserve life. It is what Jesus was and what Jesus said. He had Christ in him. He was Christ. He is Christ.

you say Hey Christians so I take it you are not one? In the bible it says we will all meet in heaven, those that do make it. We will not be married in that great place. Read Romans 6:23 and Hebrews 5:8-9, and Revelation 21:26-27 I hope this in some way will help you God bless you

Death ends the marriage.

1 Corinthians 7:39 - A wife is bound during all the time her husband is alive. But if her husband should fall asleep [in death], she is free to be married to whom she wants, only in [the] Lord.

Luke 20:27 - 36: However, some of the Sadducees, those who say there is no resurrection, came up and questioned him, saying: “Teacher, Moses wrote us, ‘If a man’s brother dies having a wife, but this one remained childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up offspring from her for his brother.’ Accordingly there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless. So the second, and the third took her. Likewise even the seven: they did not leave children behind, but died off. Lastly, the woman also died. Consequently, in the resurrection, of which one of them does she become [the] wife? For the seven got her as wife.”Jesus said to them: “The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels, and they are God’s children by being children of the resurrection.

I am a mormon, and we believe that when you marry someone in the temple, that you are sealed to them for time and all eternity and that means after you die too... For situations like this, being married to two people, only God knows, but he will always be fair and just.. and whatever will bring you the most happiness is what you will be given

Umm...wow. Dang, I was gonna answer this, and the first poster nailed it, exactly what I was going to say. Well, I guess that's a good thing...That's true, though, marriage is a vocation to help us on earth find God and join him in heaven; once we're in heaven, it isn't needed to further our spiritual life (although I imagine when we're reunited with our spouses--in his case both of them--there's a particular fondness you have for them, even if you love all brothers and sisters in Christ).

I think everything is rather different in afterlife world than in this world. Bible say that as we die, we became a spritual being and we are free from all of our physical attribut (i.e. age, sex, physicall appereance, race, etc). And we are all become brothers and sisters there.

I'm with Mrs. Bliss on this one. Only I think I want to go to the Muslim heaven for the obvious reasons.
