It seems like somebody asks a question and then there are like twenty seven answers that are like, "yes." "no." "maybe." "nope." "that's a good question." "hmmm."
Do people just do it to rack up points? Why would you do that? Those points are completely meaningless! And please don't be cute and say "yes." "no." to this. Why would somebody sit there and answer question after question with dull short statements? What the hell is this world coming to?

A lot of people said crappy things in response to my question. Some were nice. Most needlessly hostile. I am picking the genius who just answered with a period because at least he has a sense of humor.

u know ive seen that too....
i presonally try to answer the questions with some thought!
like when it's a homework question or like a politic one or shomething important, i know that the person asking that question is really trying to find a good answer and thats why they're here, so i try to do a little research n answer them thoughtfully!! not like "yes" or "no" that's just annoying! it's like "hello, did u even read the question?!!...."
yea i guess its all about points! meaningless points as u said!
i mean some of em require "yes" or "no" only, but the more complex ones need some thinking....and longer, meaningful answers!!

If I post a short answer its usually because someone else has posted the details that elaborate my point. If I were picking the best answer, I'd probably go with the first person who put the info in so I don't go any farther. My gripe is the person who can't post a link and feels like he has to post 5 pages of wikipedia to appear like he's some scholar in waiting.

Yes. Sometimes a one word answer is all thats called for, like your rant here, why ask such general questions? A normal person can only speak for themseves, yet your expecting a congressional answer? I wish we could move some of these questions into fit catagories, like the rant room, or the joke room, most people would spend their spare time getting their knowledge from rants, agreed? Oh and thanks for the opportunity to rant, laugh a little.

It was Thurwood Grubbs II when he said, " All men living in this world of doubt and reason should know that one day there will be a heaven. We need to pay our way up to the top. We must be willing to pay by giving on to others. For the only way we will ever go up there is if we are generous to those who dont have any hopes in life down here."

This is a silly question but I can't help but comment...you sound like you are irritated and people a difinently going to purposly post a short meaningless answer to this! There is no way in knowing why they do that since you can't ask them face to face just deal with it and move on! There are PROBABLY just being silly and immature!

Latin Vulgate
Douay-Rheims Bible
The Apocalypse Of Saint John
Chapter 22
11 He that hurteth, let him hurt still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is just, let him be justified still: and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still. 12 Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to every man according to his works. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Blessed are they that wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb: that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. 15 Without are dogs, and sorcerers, and unchaste, and murderers, and servers of idols, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star. 17 And the spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come: and he that will, let him take the water of life, freely.

I have seen that many times and have often wondered why, these points don't get you anything. I have never answered short. I try not to get to long cuz that's annoying too. I have to be interested in the question before I answer it. Good question.

The ones who do that, don't have a life of their own, so therefore,if they don't have anything to offer themselves, don't expect them to have anything to offer to anyone else. Some people just don't take life seriously and just waste themselves away out of misery and try and make others miserable. Don't take it personal, just hide those answers. (Those are the ones who never took the time to read the instructions to monopoly so therefore, they have been playing it wrong all this time. LOL!)

maybe so... haha, JK. But your post does invoke a response. When people post something like this it makes you just want to defy them... Why are we like that? Why do we like to annoy other people just because we can? Are we descended from gnats? Sorry to answer your question with more questions... maybe somebody out there actually has an answer.

Yup
(Sorry, I couldn;t help myself)
For many, it is a chase of the two point and if they can give a short answer that won't generate a violation notice, that's the answer you get.
It's just like "Whose Line Is It Anyway". Everything is made up and the points don;t matter
