Writing a term paper on intolerance over tolerance. I have to argue that intolerance throughout history has more positives than negatives.

why do we fight? what's th point?

we're all born in the Middle East.

we're all Abrahamic Religions.

we're have one singular prophet, Musa for the Jews, Jesus for the Christians, and Muhammad for the Muslims.

we' have the Taurat, the Injil and the quran, who all have bits and pieces of each others religions.

does these make sense to you all?

till when we must fight?

would be rejected outright because your belief is extremely different from the asker? Or would you still answer because you want to bring your message across?

I do, because it feels good - as long the question is sincerely asked with no other motive(insult, ridicule).

The Bible and other holy texts deal with how everything got started. Evolution says that a very long time ago, things started changing. Evolution isn't supposed to give you a moral compass or explain how it all came to be; it explains how it got there.

Creationism is theology and evolution is biology; they're like steak and raincoats. You can feed yourself with a raincoat and you can't stay dry in the rain with a steak, but that doesn't invalidate either of the two.

I am an atheist, but I believe everything is interconnected. I love other people, and try to show compassion towards them. I am a pacifist. I try to lead a moral life, by not harming others (not just literally, also emotionally and indirectly e.g. stealing, lying.)

I'm not trying to be selfish in this question, it just interests me. A friend recently asked someone in my class (a fundamentalist Christian) if she was going to hell, and the fact that this girl could unblinkingly just say 'yes' amazed me.

Other religious people (not just Christians may answer, sure, but there's no point in just sayin 'I don't believe in hell' - I don't either! Just a question for those who do.)

I just asked Christians and Muslims if they really feel that the people who go to hell according to their religion really deserve it.
One of the answers was the following:
"The problem is that there are only two places: Heaven, and not-Heaven. Heaven is God's home. Would YOU allow just anyone into your home? Or would you only invite friends? Why on EARTH would you invite someone who professes hatred for you in?"
I must say there is some truth in it (although I don't hate God, but just believe he doesn't exist). As an atheist I don't believe in any afterlife, so I accept the thought that I will cease to be when I will die. But seriously I don't understand why I should deserve to be tortured eternally.
There were also answers that said we all deserve hell and only God/Jesus could save us from it. Is this not an extremly negative idea of man? I knew before of the belief of original sin, but can this sin be so terrible that people deserve eternal punishment for it?

But rather apes and humans both evolved from common ancestors?
If so do they have the evolution of apes like they do humans? For example, for humans they have australopithecus, homo habilis, homo erectus, to show for it. What do they have to show for apes?

If it is alright , then why is it we cannot ask the faithful in Heaven to pray for us? Are you better than them? You say there is only one mediator between God and man and that is Jesus. O.k. Why do you ask others to pray for you?
