LOL ..... even the places that DO have freedom of religion don't actually pratice that rule. Try being something other than a christian in modern society. A wiccan, for example ... or, to take the full context of the idea, freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion, but atheists are seldom given any respect for their choice to not believe. Where is this freedom you speak of?

Any country where religion is joined with the state.
ARGENTINE for example..
In Argentine the catholicism is the only religion accepted by the state..
It is official religion...There is not freedom about that

About what hillbilly says.............he is wrong... even in middle east, southamerica, india......people has the right to have any religion they want, and they use that right.
Take the example of lebanon, egypt, syria...are in middle east and have more than 1 religion

It is easier to name the ones who DO have freedom of religion---like US,Canada, UK, including Australia and New Zealand and some of the Caribbean Islands. Everywhere else seems rather "dicey"{chancy}. Keep your head down, so to speak in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America, even.;-)

Here is a site which gives the state of the world as it were on religious freedom:

http://www.religioustolerance.org/rt_review.htm

Note That "countries that are historically Christian tended to score the highest in the reports ranking," ie most free.

Saudi Arabia - it's illegal to practice any religion besides Islam.
Communist China - you must practice your religion only within the state guidelines - attend a state church, etc. They control what is taught.
Pakistan - it's illegal to promote any religion besides Islam.
North Korea - no religion is allowed to be practiced openly - only in private.
