There is a book that can help you to understand just with the title, Pagan Christianity. A 54 page work called Church Steeple Study, June 10,1986, suggested to be the work of Mike Hodges, sometime pastor in the Illinois Conference says: 1. A steeple or tower in association with a place of worship was a feature of ancient paganism, oriented to sun worship and fertility cultus. A common form, especially in Egypt, followed the geometric figure known as an obelisk, which in places served as a phallic symbol. The history says it all, don't you think?

I would like to know if god is toying with me like a cat does a mouse or is he protecting me. I have been shot 5 times (once between the eyes with a 22 cal.) stabbed once, had a car door fling open and i landed on my head in the road, ran over by a city bus while i was on a motorcycle, an airplane crash, an explosion that killed 22 people and i lived, stung by a stingray while swimming in baja, tree fell on my head and lifeflighted to neuro intensive care, kicked in the head by a horse, forklift driver at work dropped an 707 engine on me crushing chest, 50 pound box fell 4 stories and fractured my spine. Do i have the worlds worst luck or does god not like me and just likes to make me feel pain. I have gotten so mad i challenged god to a fight because of the series of bad things that have happened. I should have died several times over and have been told everything from the devil is trying to get you and god is protecting you to i am making up for a past life where i was very very evil

Buddhism say Brahama is creator of all thing.
Buddhism also say every thing has it own god, like angels.

Jewish religion make angels Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Sariel, Raguel, Remiel, Zadkiel, Jophiel, Haniel, Chamuel, Selaphiel, Jegudiel, Barachiel, and Samael (Lucifer) to do things.

Islam change it and say God have no partners at all, but say God uses Gabriel give Mohammad Koran.

Does Buddhism make most sense since it is simple and no argue all time against other religion and it no make terrorism?

Peace and blessings from the Church of Fish and Bread.

I mean all the people who go to hell according to your religion if you believe in a religion with this concept (Christianity or Islam). I know what the religions teach, but do you really feel in your heart that these people deserve it? If they suffer in their life on earth, do you feel sorry for them or do you think that anyway that is nothing compared to what they really deserve and what they will get after their death? Have you ever known a person you liked and who you considered a really very good person, but who will, according to your religion, go to hell because of "wrong" belief?

Is there any proof outside of religious texts that these two people ever existed? Or are they just modeled after the pagan beliefs of their preceeding religions.

MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.

i asked this question yesterday but perhaps due an over long & perhaps inflamatory explanation of the question it never got answered. instead of answering the question as to why Christians seem not to grasp why nonChristians get angry with Christians for interferring with & seeking control of their lives (via interjection of Christian dogma into our secular government and society) i was given Bible verse as to why Christians feel it's their duty to do so.
i already know that Christians believe they are on a "mission from God" to intrude in & seek to control the lives of nonChristians.

the question was/is ...Why can't Christians seem to understand that it's those unasked for intrusions in and unwanted effects on their lives that nonChistians resent and that causes the "persecution" Christians feel they "suffer" (ie "bashing")? (and NOT envy, fear, immorality & an aversion to truth as Christians prefer to think).

All over the world today and everywhere in the past there have been very different sexual practices in a large assortment of ways, depending on the culture people lived in, yet I read condemnation of this one for marrying at 9 or that one having several wives. Monogamy is not a scriptural issue and age of marriage is not mentioned in scripture so why

the thought that your interpretation is best

where is your scriptural passage as referance

two becoming one is an obvious reference to the act of sexual union.

why on earth would someone impose their cultural values on someone in another culture.

conciet?? ignorance?? revelation?? other??

as a Christian asking us where do we get off??of others backs

just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
