If a girl or woman is raped & becomes pregnant does God expect that she go through w/ the pregnancy?
If a person smokes cigarettes or does any other physically harmful thing to themselves is it considered suicide when they die as a result?
Does the quote "spare the rod; spoil the child" mean that children should be physically punished/disciplined?
Is the death penalty right in God's eyes? ( "eye for an eye"), or, is it considered murderous & hypocritical?

It was brought to my attention that "non-believer" is an offensive term. When people talk about Christians, they link of Christ based faiths together, Cathiloc, Baptist, Methodist, whatever, or Religion to cover Christianity, Judiasm, Islam and such.

So what is a non-offensive word to list atheists, agnostics, pagans, wiccans, and all other non God or Christ based groups together? What is appropriate?

I personally think it shouldn't be, but there are those who say it should. Personally I do not care what some one's religious beliefs are, but they should not be forced on the student's who are not of that faith, or who are not religious. What do you guys think?

As far as I can tell, Islam seems to be at about the same stage of development as Christianity was about 700 years ago. Isn't it about time that Islam modernised, in order to integrate in to the 21st century? No religious dogma, please. That would just reinforce my point.

As an atheist, agnostic, non-believer of any kind, do you feel as if those like minded, on this board give you a bad name? Are you sometimes angered or embarrassed of what they say and how it makes others view your side?

Think about it. No way to record information in ancient times, other than someone's story. Can't stories be wrong?

give them a bad name? As a Christian, are you sometimes embarrassed or angered by the things other Christians, generally the hard core ones, say on the board here? Do you feel like it makes it harder for you, when people judge?

It's Luke 6:24. Jesus said, "Woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort."

And another:
1 Tim 6:9
"But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition."

Salamanders regrow their tail when it is amputated. Starfish regrow their limbs too. Yet every human amputee is left out of the regeneration process. Are human prayers merely missing their intended mark and benefitting other species?
