No, abortion in general is not murder.

Yes, abortion is murder no matter what the reason is. An abortion won't take the victim back into time to stop the rape, but it will destroy an innocent life. The child shouldn't have to atone for his father's (perpetrator) sin.
For those who say abortion is a personal choice—they’re wrong; it also concerns the father (in situations of consensual sex) and the very child.

Yes it is. A child can come into existence under many circumstances. Not all will be good ones. But that baby is a baby and has all of the same DNA, body parts and humaness as you or I. It is separate from mom in every way except that it is in her womb to grow and relies on her placenta for life until it can breathe on it's own. While the woman will undoubtably have an extremely hard time with this pregnancy. abortion will not end the pain of what happened to her. Either way she will have pain but one will bring life and the other death. The baby does not deserve to have it's life ended and if mom cannot care for baby, she has adoption to consider. Abortion brings serious emotional and mental consequences, not to mention potential future fertility issues for many women. This woman is not to blame for what happened but she is still responsible for the life she did not ask to carry.

A fetus is a child, alive inside the womb. The child in the womb has different DNA than the woman carriying the child, proving it is not just an extention of her body.

Abortion is indeed murder, no matter what the reason.

Only God can create life, and only God has the right to take a life.

What crime did the fetus commit to deserve the death penalty?

No. It is rather ironic that we would place two very illegal things together in one package... this package being abortion. Abortion is only a choice, after all. And as for the rape victim, I think it would be wise to stand down and leave the woman to make her choice.

Considering that in the OT, children weren't considered actual children until they were two years old, I think this is a moot point.

Folks, lets remember, a fetus isn't a baby until it comes out. Most rape abortions are likely to occur very early in the pregnancy.

Also, lets remember that this is a complex issue. If you say that all women who have been raped cannot have an abortion, you are making THEM pay for the crimes of SOMEONE ELSE. If not for the rest of their lives, at least for nine months.

Try to put yourself in the place of a woman not only suffering the trauma of rape, but also pregnancy caused by that rape. Remember that in PTSD, any little reminder can cause painful flashbacks and intrusive memories. Imagine your life, if every single pregnancy symptom, every kick in your belly, every swollen ankle every thing in your body for nine months was a flashback trigger.

Some women choose to carry the child, and of them, I am in awe. However, that is a gift and a choice that the mother makes when all other choices have been taken from her. To insist that every raped woman do that is to turn them into baby making factory slaves of abusive men. Why do we even consider making women pay for the crimes of men? Why do we even consider taking away the last choice of a woman in a scenario where all other choices have been not only taken, but STOLEN from her.

And don't give me that freaking "its a little baby and your murdering a little baby.' Because its NOT YET a baby.

If you've come to the r & s section for an answer to this, expect the answer to be yes. Those who answer any other way are appealing to humanistic views and not religious.

Life is never easy, and to begin with, a controversy. We're not here to enjoy life, but to suffer. We are not here to suffer, but to find joy in suffering.

The question is then, are you going to take something negative and make it positive, or are you going to take something negative and make it more negative.

Welcome to the Vale of Tears. If someone tells you different, they're lying.

edit: contrary to popular opinion, an abortion doesn't make the memory of rape go away. That's pure poppycock.

Yes, all abortion is murder. Try substituting "a 2 year old child" for "an unborn baby" in the following:
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just for the sin of the baby's father
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just because the baby isn't conveniently timed for your "life schedule".
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just because the baby would cost a lot of money to raise
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just because you're in school
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just because you forgot to take "the pill" for 4 days straight
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just because you're "only 16"
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just because it "might" have Down Syndrome
It is murder to kill an unborn baby just because it isn't the "right" gender to complete your "perfect set of a boy and a girl".
It is murder to kill your unborn baby just because you are not married to the baby's father
It is murder to kill your unborn baby just because it's legal.

Don't follow one atrocity with another by killing the unborn baby conceived in rape. Killing your baby won't make the rape "unhappen". All babies are a blessing and this baby has a special reason for being here. Please embrace life and agree to see where it takes you.

Yes, it is I think. Abortion means killing a life. whatever the reason for the existence of that life, it's still a life. And the fault that, a man or an woman do, they could be punished who ever responsible. But, it's not justified to kill a life as any of the man/woman did sin.

abortion for anybody is not murder, unless you are prolife and are of the opinion that it is. Abortion is a choice that is legal for all women at this time. If and when that changes is when the real fight will begin.

Why would any woman want to carry a rapist's baby? It is completely justifiable for a woman to have an abortion under those circumstances. No, it would not be murder.
