Since it seems that there are more than a few who look on the other forms of worship with more than a little disdain. I have a question if you wre to strip away from Christianity all those things they borrowed or stole from the other spiritual paths, what is left that is Christian?

Really, what are the orginal ideas that Christianity has brought to religion?

Question: Why have we been fighting eachother over the past decades
Answer: We Imprison ourselfs in our minds to think we're better than other people!
Q: Why do we imprison ourselves instead of working out our differences
A: because, we want acceptance, we want to be the macho person who says that if i prove them wrong, everyone will listen to me and think i'm right!
Q: if we really wanted to prove the point of religion how do we do it?
A: STOP ACTING CHILDISH AND PROVE A POINT AND GROW UP ATHEIST, CHRISTIANS, AND ANYOTHER RELIGION WHO WANTS TO THROW A FIGHT

How would a completely Christian world operate if everyone had different amounts of money for working different types of jobs? I mean, everyone can't just suddenly get along for worshiping the same God. People are starving while others are getting fat. And you can't distribute wealth evenly or you'd have Communism where people don't motivation to work as hard.

Before he was Paul,he was Saul the Rabbi from Tarsus. He studied @ the "Harvard" of his day, under Gamaliel. He was tops in his class.Even Festus said"Much learning has made you mad!"He persecuted the Church to death, until Jesus saved him and he became the greatest Apostle(not Peter),had more suffering then anyone alive at the time, and basically set up the Church of today. Why do people say he was a fraud,he worked making tents and took money from no one.Was whipped ,stoned, put in stocks, practically torn apart, and eventually beheaded by Nero.So what gives? Is it his "Freedom in Christ" that scares you .All you Cultists and Legalists?

(I have seen many dogs and cats in the shelters and this makes me sad. I am wondering why take a pet if you can not care for them. I gave away my two fish because I was afraid that they might die... because of something I might do wrong... I know we try our best wth all our pets.. I think we buys them because we love them... and appreciate creation in a way, but when we can no longer care for them, is it better to give them away?)

I guess my question is does your religion say anything about animal cruelty at all?

Respectfully,
Muslimah

I've read that term a couple of times here today, as criticism for using the abbreviation "XMas." Here is the origin of this usage:

http://www.cresourcei.org/symbols/xmasorigin.html

It reads, in part:

"Abbreviations used as Christian symbols have a long history in the church. The letters of the word "Christ" in Greek, the language in which the New Testament was written, or various titles for Jesus early became symbols of Christ and Christianity. For example, the first two letters of the word Christ (cristoV, or as it would be written in older manuscripts, CRISTOS) are the Greek letters chi (c or C) and rho (r or R)...a symbol that by the fourth century became part of the official standard of the emperor Constantine....by the fifteenth century Xmas emerged as a widely used symbol for Christmas....there is no grand scheme to dilute Christianity by promoting the use of Xmas..."

I'm aware this is not a question and will be deleted, but I thought it was worth sharing.

: )

What is a soul? Every religion believes there is life after death, how exactly do we survive? As I have always seen it explained, our soul lives on. If this is true, the soul must be a tangible thing right? Is it matter? Energy? If so, where is it? How does it store our personality, memories and experiences?

Te following quotes make me wonder: Matthew 10:28 " And fear not them that kill the body, but rather fear Him that can destroy both soul and body in hell" Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful and unbelieving....shall have their part in the lake which burneth..which is the second death" Revelation 20:14 " And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 2:11 "He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death." Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death?"According to these quotes from the Bible, hell seems to be death after death rather than eternal torture and the rich man does say he is tormented in the flame but does not say he is being tormented forever. Is hell permanent punishment or eternal punishing? Since faith alone is not enough(Mt. 7:21"Not everyone that says unto me Lord, Lord shall enter the kindom of heaven but him that does the will of my father"?)did Christ come to save us from death in hell rather than eternal torture?

Whos your favourite Islamic charater that you conceder as a HERO to you, even if he/ she wasn't from the past history, and why?
Mive is Rufiada, the first femal/male Doctor is Islam, I love her because she struggeled to cure poor people at that time, and for her great couradge too as a female. Some people who don't know what real Islam is, say that Muslim women have no rights of their own, but is the first surprise, all of those peopl's old historical cultutre did't have a female hero involve in.

They are always debating with pastors and priests, and have their Zakir Naiks and Ahmed Deadaats writing literature on flaws in the Bible, is Jesus God ? Was Christ crucified ?

... What about Hinduism, why dont they challenge Hinduism ? Is it not a religion to be taken seriously? Why do they not try to argue with Hindu priests or even Buddhists and Jains and Sikhs religious leaders ?

Muslims seem hell bent on grinding down and challenging Christianity ... why dont they focus energies on the agnostics and atheists? Would not they be easier to brain wash and convert ?

What is your relationship with food? Do you eat to be full (gluttonous), do you try to eat in moderation, do you have a problem with food? I'm asking because in my religion it is bad to overeat- ' fill the stomach 1/3rd with food, 1/3 with drink and leave the rest for air to breath.'...

I was told in another question that God is the decider on whom has children and who doesn't. So does he sit there and say well couple A I like them I'll let them have children but couple B.. well I'm not so keen so I'll close them off from having children?

Or perhaps, it is genetics and environmental factors that play in it which leaves religion and deities no place in it at all..
