His body because it is his bride? The two shall become one flesh?

When does a set of beliefs that people "live by" become a religion instead of just being something people believe in?
Just an example, what makes scientology a religion and not just a set of beliefs?
I suppose you could use any "established religion" as an example. But why aren't all sets of beliefs accepted as religions?

Please note - this is a genuine question, and not just a chance to belittle scientology.

Ok....Int he past 5 minutes, I've seen so much racism against Muslims and it's rediculous. Here's all the evidence. All of you racists:

Cork - THEY DON'T ADMIT MISERY...THEY GOT WAR TO TEND TO
mohamedjihaddirkadirka - yes, that is why there are no chritian suicide bombers, if they had a few drinks they would get over it
They Live - Are Muslims miserable all the time because they are not allowed to drink alcohol?
They Live - Islam the religion of "pieces". Muslims are the enemy in every country they reside from France to China to Sudan....
Mimi - It is a religion of confusion.so much violence and suicide bombers and everything that represents arrogance due to ignorance.
Tommy JR 24 - pease my foot they keep on saying death to america, israel.
Chris R - Yep. But just as Christians use a different religious book; the Muslims use a different dictionary. Peace doesn't have the same definition in the Islamic dictionary.

Do you think your supposed god is any more peaceful?

You find yourself in your immortal presence of your god / gods /goddesses. Now knowing all things, understanding everything. How long before boredom, disillusionment and apathy sets it ? A thousand, a hundred thousand years. shorter? Longer.? Remembering you will "live forever"

I have personally accepted Jesus as my personal Savior so that I can spend eternity in Heaven with him. This is my hope. Sometimes I have doubts and feel discouraged. Is this normal? I read my Bible and pray, but I feel no joy. I try to attend church and try to fellowship with other believers.Ron

Malachi 1:11 – For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in EVERY PLACE there is SACRIFICE, and there is offered to my name a CLEAN oblation: for MY NAME IS GREAT AMONG THE GENTILES, saith the Lord of hosts.

NOTICE IT IS NOT PRAYER BUT SACRIFICE THAT IS CLEARLY MENTIONED HERE! Neither is it the sacrifice in the Temple in Jerusalem for that is no longer possible and it is possible only in 1 time zone.

...then my debt is paid. If Jesus was brutally tortured and murdered to pay for my sins, the debt is paid. If my debt is paid, then God doesn't actually forgive anything. Is it forgiven or is it paid?

Does anyone have an opinion on this? Do you know any websites for polygamy or know some one personally who practices polygamy? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am in a polygamous relationship and having a hard time, I am getting depressed because I have no body to talk to about this.

on Sunday morning instead of going to Church so do you think this could be one way you could empty yourself to be refilled with Christ? I mean by giving up that extra time in bed and going to Church?

I figure it's important to learn the origin of "evil."

What made Satan the best angel? What did angels do before mankind existed? What do they do now? What was the source of Satan's greed and pride?

People today are greedy and prideful because of their lack of intelligence, social maturity, physical condition, etc...so was Satan just like humans? Does he feel insecure and fearful? Why does he fear things? Is he desperate? What are Satan's goals? Does he explore another dimension of humanity by creating suffering? Does he himself suffer? To say he's evil just because he's evil seems very dismissive. Is it that he's just impossible to understand unlike God? Maybe he wants to share his pain like God wants to share His goodness?

There are a lot of stereotyped percetions of religion, muslims, christians, etc.

There has been a lot of foul interactions, but hardly anyone seems actually interested in having a conversation; these are just arguments!

and if we r actually interested in being enlightened by these discussions, neither the source nor the suggestion would matter because we are all searching for th@ blessing we humans can give each other: Enlightenment.

so can this site become a site of Enlightenment?

Ok, i'm doing a Paster Project for religion on stewardship of the earth.

The objective of this project is to the encourage the students of my school to take better care of the earth, make “greener” choices in their lives, meet their responsibility as God’s stewards of the earth, and show them examples of what they can do to help save the earth.

The expectations for this projects are to show the teacher that you understand what stewardship is and what is involves today. Use pictures and symbols to express your thoughts and convictions. Your poster should be colourful and organized. You must also include written work that is typed and gives and explanation of what your poster is saying.

Now I don’t really need help with much. I need help with is the written work that is typed and gives and explanation of what your poster is saying. Please help me some examples of how we can help save the earth.

everyone always says that when you pray for "Jesus to come into your heart" he will answer your prayer with no questions and start working to make YOU a better person, even if he doesn't make all the problems in your life go away. I think that's bullshit because I have prayed so many times for god to come into my heart or whatever and if there was any jesus in my heart at all I'd be ten times a better person than what I am right now.
If any of you knew everything about me you would tell me I was a terrible person, you would hate me, and you wouldn't want to have anything to do with me at all. I hate god for not doing anything to help me with my own demons; isn't that the least he can do?

I have been told that Thanksgiving is actually a Pagan holiday that has nothing to do with God. So if it is then why do so many Christians follow a holiday that would be against Bible? I hope this doesn't offend anyone I am just really wondering why.

to be not agnostic then God is your personal friend-or you dont know God-Adam and Eve walked with God in the cool of the day-Genesis.
they didnt just think maybe he existed maybe he didnt. maybe he had a book written, NO they were not agnostics they knew God!

to say God once existed and talked through Moses telling us we had to have a blood atonement for sins-Leviticus 17vs 11-could be true or it could have been made up! unless you absolutely know and know the one that spoke through Moses as Moses knew Him-you think Im born to believe this so I do-but is it true?

Some are born canibals-does that make their god exist-or is it traditions-technically a canibal is an agnostic too till they come to Moses and the Messiah Jesus to personally know him as He offers us to do.

Isaiah 9:6 700 bce "Unto us a child is born, a son is given and he will be the wonderful counselor, almighty God, the everlasting father, and the prince of peace."

well do you personallyKnowGod? I do!TY
