I was told in another question that God is the decider on whom has children and who doesn't. So does he sit there and say well couple A I like them I'll let them have children but couple B.. well I'm not so keen so I'll close them off from having children?

Or perhaps, it is genetics and environmental factors that play in it which leaves religion and deities no place in it at all..

No he doesn`t it is all biology, and sometimes choice. For example,The pill has been shown to be correllated, in studies, to difficulties concieving if used for long periods of time. God is there to comfort people with their personal realities if they want him to.

If God worked that way no child would ever have abusive parrents. We know this is not true so I suspect in the creation of children God works on a system of the people commit the act and base on biological factors a pregnancy does or does not occur and at that point God steps in to begin knitting DNA and genes and placing a bit of God inside for the childs soul.

Now God is in the miracle business so if you want to have children prayer by both fo you can help but is no garuntee.

Um, maybe they were wrong. God doesn't decide. Probably more like luck that people have children or do not. Yes there are physical and biological reasons, but finding your self in that situation is nothing more than good or bad luck.

Religion want to blame everything on God. She deserves it sometimes, other times its just convenient.

God is a big God and can superintend factors like genetics and environmental factors and still be sovereign ultimately.

I think its the latter: but then i don't beleive in god so what do I know?

If you want it to be God and that helps you get through the day, then thats cool, I reckon - the only harm form religion comes when people try and inflict it on others.

God can seal up the womb of a women if He so chooses to do so. We are in no position to second guess God or ask Him why He does anything, for it's truly non of our business, since He is greater than we are.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

It's not really like that. God does create every human being through conception and pregnancy, however we do have the choice to have children or not, and the sins we commit sometimes bears on that if we will have one or more or not.

your second option i feel is correct .. there are a lot of factors that go into having a baby or not
genes , illness etc

wow newcoven ... i dont think God would be so cruel to make someone childless because of sin .. what did Jesus die for if we are to be punished so cruely in this life ?
i hate to think anyone is hating themself for not being able to produce children .. thats just awful !

We are only humans just as well as you are, we can say yes or no but who will know if thats the right answer anyway? Only God. If I had to share my opinion though, Id say no because its a physical matter but then again there are miracle babies....I dont know see? lol no idea.
