First of all, Rapture means: The belief that faithful Christians will be bodily caught up from the earth, suddenly taken out of the world, to be united with the Lord “in the air.” The word “rapture” is understood by some persons, but not by all, to be the meaning of 1 Thessalonians 4:17. The word “rapture” does not occur in the inspired Scriptures.

I find that not everyone has the same idea as to what the rapture means. The rapture has been explained to me as an escape plan for Christians. Many feel that this is the way they will escape the coming great tribulation.
We certainly want God’s protection at that time, and I find to be very encouraging some texts that show how we can benefit from it. At Zephaniah 2:3 reads: "seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger."

Another point is that the Bible shows that God will safeguard some faithful ones right here on earth.

At Proverbs 2:21, 22 "For the upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it."
That is in harmony with God’s purpose when he first created Adam and put him in Paradise, is it not? (Gen. 1:27, 28; See also Ecclesiastes 1:4; Psalm 104:5)

Matt. 6:10: “Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.”

Ps. 37:29: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”

Isa. 45:18: “This is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the true God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: ‘I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.’” (See also Isaiah 55:10, 11.)

To some the rapture means that Christians living at the end of the system of things are to be taken to heaven. But have they [you] wondered what they will do when they get to heaven? Notice what Revelation 20:6 "Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years."

And Revelation 5:9, 10 "And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth"

So over whom will they rule? Please note: (Ps. 37:10, 11, 29)

Psalm 37:10-11 reads: "And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."
Verses 29 reads: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it."

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no scriptural basis for the so-called Rapture. The word doesn't even appear in the Bible.

if you don't have Jesus Christ in your heart you should be scared because you will be tormented in hell FOREVER ! IT IS NOT A JOKE ! it is in Gods Holy Word call the Bible in the book of Revelation. if you DO have Jesus Christ in your heart than you should be excited that you will spend eternity in heaven with him. there will be no more sorrows, heartaches, pain, dying, problems, etc. its going to great up there !!!!

If you believe in Santa Claus, are you excited about what you are going to receive Christmas morning, or scared that it might be a bag of coal (which contributes to global warming).
