a lot of ignoring ... a lot of nodding when you want to shake your head ... a lot of pretending the washing walked in on its own ...
actually a happy marriage is when you can accept your partner for who they are and all they are ...
and when respect is going both ways

First GOD has to be in the marriage. You both have to go into it with the idea this is for good and we both have to work at it. We are now family.Remember the little things like that donut store that is way out of the way has these blueberry cakes to die for. When your out shopping one day, make the trip and buy some to surprise him.Or she drinks diet soda but every now and then She loves Sunkist orange. For no reason, stop and get one on your way home. It is not the boxed candy or roses that keep a marriage together, it is those little things.

A happy marriage comes from cooperation and respect from both people involved. You have to appreciate your partner in every aspect and understand that you are two very different individuals with diverse backgrounds who have decided to form a union. What you make of your union depends a great deal on yourself! A pleasant attitude is the most important...handle all things with grace. Remember, a soft answer turns away all harshness or anger. Deal with every situation with compassion...it would be that natural affection you feel in all situations since you are blessed enough to be created female.

My parents have been married for over 25 years and they still love each other. Whenever they would get mad they would walk away. They tried to make each other happy with little things. I have to say I never saw them in a heated argument. I guess it made things easier that they both had the same morals and beliefs. They wanted the same things out of life. They were honest with each other and never did all the silly things couples do these days like try to make each other jealous.

A) Respect for one another (This keeps jealousy at bay)
B) Trust (again keeps jealousy at bay)
C)Comfort. How many couples can be proud that they no longer have to kissy huggy holdy handsy?
Add to that just a tad bit of the kissy huggy romance./
