Does anyone know what sort of relationship Jesus had with Joseph? Are there any verses that give some insight?

There are no definitive verses that describe the relationship that Jesus had with His earthly father, Joseph.

But, we do know that Joseph was an honorable man. He did not divorce Mary when she was found to be pregnant, and he worked as a carpenter to support his family.

Joseph was loving and compassionate. When returning home from Jerusalem, Joseph and Mary realized that Jesus was not among the group they were traveling with, and the two of them left the group and returned to Jerusalem, only to find Him teaching in the Temple at 12 years old.
(This story is the last that we hear of Joseph in the Scriptures.)

We also know that Jesus followed the Old Testament Laws in every way. He would have been respectful and obedient to Joseph, honoring His father and mother.

The few verses that actually deal with Joseph show that He loved Jesus very much. He moved his family to Egypt to protect Jesus from the wrath of the king of Judea. He raised Jesus and was really scared when, at age 12, they could not find Him (He was in the temple preaching).

Joseph is someone I can't wait to meet in heaven. He loved and cared for Jesus as his own. I can almost picture Joseph and Jesus working together as carpenters.

I've often wondered about Jesus' siblings. Can you imagine being born a fallible human into Mary and Joseph's family after they had already started raising a child that was perfect?

Joseph was the husband of Mary, therefore the earthly father of Jesus. See Luke chapters 1-2. If you mean the Joseph of the Old Testament, he was the brother of Judah, part of the Line of Christ. Otherwise, there was no relation.

Both Joseph and Mary were descended from King David, but from different sons. Mary was descended from David's son Nathan (Luke 3: 23-31). And Joseph was descended from David's son Solomon (Matthew 1: 6-16). Joseph would have been Jesus' very distant uncle. Of course, the term "step father" might be used as well.

Joseph was His earthly father. Joseph always raised Jesus to be a carpenter, just as he was. Have you heard of Jesus being referred to as "the carpenter's son"?

Early passages in the 4 gospels talk to what little is known. Check out Matthew, Mark, Luke and to a lesser degree in John.

Hope this helps!
