What if the point, was for God to actually do those actions that myths claimed that the old "gods" had done, to prove His power to the people?

This is very close to the meanings of the 10 plagues. Each plague is a polemic against an Egyptian god. Interestingly enough, there is record of these plagues occuring in Egypt. Secular scholars find natural causes for them. Religious believers see them as authentic (and rightly so).

It was wicked angels that did those things to get the worship that belonged to God. Satan wanted to be worshipped and that is why he tried to turn the humans against God.
That never changed. The wicked angels took different societys and people and cultures and then became God's to them.
Even clothing themselves in human bodies. As these wicked angels became rulers of certain countries and even fought with wicked angels of other countries. I believe the wicked rulers are all being driven by a powerful spirit force. Just as all false religion and the false religious teachers are driven by the demons. Would the true God tell a young man to strap on a bomb and blow up innocent people and himself? Would he lie to him and tell him Virgins awaited him in heaven for this vile act.

i think the literal translation of miracle is; million to one and i have heard it said that GOD does not play dice with the universe but i believe he does count the cards which sounds like a mixed metaphor but that's what i believe because it seems like the odds of an average miracle does not exceed beyond what you would call to much of a coincidence but it does seem that they occur just when they are needed most which in it self is more than a coincidence!
