paradise that they instead of saying he'd come for him at the second coming? and howcome the Just who died before Jesus are in heaven ?

That's what Jesus told the thief and different versions put the comma in a differnt place by the word "today" which can change the meaning. However, there's no way it could have been that day, for we know Jesus was in the ground for 3 days.
The apostle Peter also said that King David was not in heaven at Acts 2; 34 Likewise , Jesus said at that no man had ascended to heaven at John 3; 13 not even John the Baptist , who was the greatest of men, at Matthew 11; 11.

those faithful who have died are in Gods presence,but not always in Heaven as they may be in that place of purification which readies the soul to be able to enter Heaven in their spiritual being. their earth bodies will not be resurrected untill the final judgement is over, and then God will raise their mortal bodies, and they will have new glorified bodies like Christ Himself.
this is the common explanation but their are some of the faithful who have died in what is called a state of grace and these go directly into gods presence in Heaven.
