A poet once wrote, 'In dreams begins responsibility.' So too, perhaps, with love. Without dreams, without the hope of a better life, a brighter future, it is difficult for love to flourish. And without love... there are no dreams

Are spiritualist mediums able to speak with the dead, or they feeding off peoples fear of death? Is continuation of the spirit plausible?

It is my understanding that according to the Christian religion, any child who dies before being baptized will go to hell because of original sin. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that the original sin is passed down from parent to child and originated from Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit in Eden.

This raises a lot of questions, and I'm not sure where to begin. Would an all-loving God allow an infant to go to hell? If that is true, then doesn't that imply a flaw in a newborn infant, signifying that God would have made some sort of mistake?

When is original sin conferred upon the infant? At conception? At birth? If abortion is murder, as most Christians feel it is, does this imply that the soul and original sin are present at conception, and that aborted fetuses go to hell? Do miscarried fetuses also go to hell? If original sin (and the soul) are conferred at birth, then is abortion really murder?

Please give reasons and/or alternatives and suggestions. Thanks! (and also, if you know, please answer: Why is there a difference between Catholic and Protestant customs here? Don't we have the same God?)

This is in no way meant to be negative toward the Amish. I will never show disrespect for ANY religion. It's just a matter of simple curiosity, since they don't use modern conveniences (cars, electricity, etc.) and tend to keep to themselves. I just wondered if they vote.

This is a PURELY HYPOTHETICAL question, and isn't meant to belittle anyone's faith. Answer the question directly, please--no "I would never abandon my faith" types of answers. Obviously, the question only applies to people with a chosen religion.

If your religion, by whatever means you choose, was proven to be false beyond any doubt, how many other religions would you go through before you became an atheist? Which religions would you go through, and in what order? In other words, which religions do you identify the closest with other than your own, and how many of them seem more plausible than atheism?

Again, I'm not implying that anyone's religion could or would ever be completely disproven; it's just a hypothetical situation. I'm not an atheist, and I'm not "for" or "against" any religion.

In the Catholic Church, all Catholics in the United States will hear the same readings at Mass today: Deuteronomy 6:2-6, Psalm 18:2-3, 3-4, 47, 51, Hebrew 7:23-28, and Mark 12:28b-34

Will other Catholics in other countries be hearing these readings this Sunday as well?

Most would agree that its not O.K. to stereotype nationalities, politcal groups or other religions. In fact, I agree that it is wrong to stereotype anyone. But many think that it is okay to be intolerant of Christians and Christianity and to get mad because we say "Jesus loves you." That shouldn't be protected under free speech, according to some. Christians cannot pray in school or have nativity scenes. Judges have been reprimanded for having the Ten Commandments in their courtrooms. These things are not protected under free speech or freedom of religion, but pornography, flag desecration, and other forms of obscenity IS protected free speech? Rediculous! We MUST be tolerant of all other people groups, but we may be intolerant of Christians. This is the epitome of hypocracy!

What is getting ready to happen is NOT Judgement Day.
It will only be a major change, and a Battle for control of our
World!
Will Humanity ever defeat Evil? For to do so means facing
up to the potential for Evil in ourselves!

PEACE

OK, we know it but HOW to do it? Thru prayer, thru what? It is hard, very hard when I want someone to talk and can not find them. THey are all busy, they don't care and I can not afford going to a counselor. I have faith in the LORD but please, tell me HOW TO TALK TO HIM, how to calm down my heart and believe He is listening to me? Please, help me. My life hasn't been easy and the dark valley seems to dark at times. I know there will be light at the end but to wait for it is so very hard......especially when the ones we love the most walk away and hurt us so bad. Tell me, please how to find JOY and FULFILLMENT in the Lord. In a simple way.

Surely as Christians we should agree that there are no contradictions in the Bible. Only a need for further revelation. So, did Peter disobey Our Lord when at the day of Pentecost he instructed all to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ when Jesus Christ Himself said to baptize in the name(notice singular not three as in three different beings) of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost just 10 days before. Could it be that Peter had a revelation of what that Name was? And if so, why are people still being baptized in TITLES and not A name? And if it doesn't matter, why does the bible say that there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved? And if the book of Acts is the church in action, why isn't there a record of anyone being baptized in titles or Father, Son, Holy Ghost? And why did Paul tell the disciples of John that they had to be re-baptised in the correct Name? Is there really any room for compromise?
