It is my understanding that according to the Christian religion, any child who dies before being baptized will go to hell because of original sin. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that the original sin is passed down from parent to child and originated from Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit in Eden.
This raises a lot of questions, and I'm not sure where to begin. Would an all-loving God allow an infant to go to hell? If that is true, then doesn't that imply a flaw in a newborn infant, signifying that God would have made some sort of mistake?
When is original sin conferred upon the infant? At conception? At birth? If abortion is murder, as most Christians feel it is, does this imply that the soul and original sin are present at conception, and that aborted fetuses go to hell? Do miscarried fetuses also go to hell? If original sin (and the soul) are conferred at birth, then is abortion really murder?

What do you think hell would be like for an infant? Does an infant that goes to hell grow up to be an adult, or is it always a baby? Does it learn to talk?
I want to say that only a noncorporeal soul would go to hell, so there would be no infancy or adulthood...but then, how would one explain the physical burning from the fires that would not consume?
I realize that a lot of these questions sound silly, but there is a lot of explaining needed, I think.

You're thinking about the Catholic Church cult, not actually biblical Christianity, with regard to babies dying before being baptized. You go to heaven if you believe in Christ, and if you are a child, then you will go to heaven because you are below the age of accountability. Focus more on the Bible and not the Catholic Church's contradictory dogma.

Parents who lose their child is, of course, angry at that Lord for taking their child too soon but NEVER think that an infant will easily go to hell. The easiest way to send the little baby to our Lord is to pray that the child may live eternally with God and God will bless the parents for their care and love towards their infant. Saying the child will go DOWN will give the devil an easier chance to get the baby away from God and do you want that? But I respect your theory on original sin.
Of course God wouldn't want his child to go to the wrong place. God NEVER makes a mistake. He gives everyone a time, the time will always come and that's why we have to make the best of it. Infants are in the hands of the parents and God. If the parents cannot do anything for their child, the only way is to pray the baby will reach God.
Abortion IS murder (and I'm catholic...) because babies are people. How would you feel if your mother didn't want you and decided to KILL you? That's how the aborted babies would feel if they had a chance...
All of your questions relate the child going to hell for the reason of death. PRAY that any aborted, miscarried, killed child/ren will be brought to heaven. Never say "Go to HEll" to someone because NO ONE, not even your obnoxious boss or ex, deserves to go to hell. The only reason you'd go to hell is if you disobey the 10 commandments or do any of the 7 deadly sins or disbelieve in God's power.

Maybe we can re-frame this a little bit. I believe in Original Sin the way you've described it, and that means everyone, everywhere, deserves Hell. However, God has predestined those whom He has chosen before the beginning of time, to be in His kingdom when they die. The important thing to remember though, is that we don't have access to the Book of Life! No one on YA or anywhere else has the authority to separate sheep from goats, even concerning infants. But think for a minute, can we not trust our perfect, righteous Creator to make the right decisions?

I am a Christian Pastor and I don't believe or teach a doctrine that condemns children to Hell upon their untimely death.
I can not believe that a loving God would send a child, that hasn't had the opportunity to hear of Jesus Christ, to Hell for eternity or any other amount of time.
Accepting Jesus Christ is a choice that each must make. If your not old enough, or mentally able to grasp things, then I can not believe that God would judge you for that.
Actually I think there is an age of accountability for all boys and girls.
I also think there are a lot of parents in a lot of trouble because they haven't prepared their children properly.

Christianity, like any religion, is full of manmade interpretations
of things. The Book says not to heed the wisdoms of men.
I'm a Christian and I feel it is totally ridiculous that a child would have to go to hell for not being Baptized.
I got a revelation in my studies the other day. A man said the
first thing Jesus did was challenge the established religion of
His day.
I personally think people who claim to be Born Again are
"farting in the wind"! Jesus said when we are" born of flesh,
we are flesh. And when we are born of Spirit, we are spirit.
Just like the wind blows, and you can hear it, but not see
it, and it goes wherever it wants to go!"
That describes no Born Again Christian I know!
Being Born Again is not reincarnation either. It is when our
spirit is reborn into the spirit world it came from!

>>>It is my understanding that according to the Christian religion, any child who dies before being baptized will go to hell because of original sin.<<<
Not true. For ages the Catholic Church pondered (but never actually taught) the idea that such children go to a spiritual state called Limbo.
This was borne of the idea that due to original sin, the child could not go to Heaven -- but due to God's mercy, the child could not go to Hell either.
Recently, the Catholic Church has declared that Limbo does not exist -- that God somehow provides an unbaptized child with the opportunity (after death) to choose for Him and go to Heaven, or to choose against Him and go to hell.
Going to Hell involves a deliberate rejection of God -- a conscious decision to not allow God into one's life. Children are incapable of such decisions and such rejections.
So, the rest of your question -- about newborn infants and aborted babies and so on -- is moot.
It's based on your premise that unbaptized children automatically go to hell, which is not what the Church teaches and which is not what the Church has ever taught.

If I'm not mistaken Buddhists believe ALL life is scared, right down to an amoemba.
Not all christians beleive in infant Baptism.
The original sin is disobedience and shrugging blame. Not only did Adam and Eve disobey, they both tried to put the blame elsewhere, the "snake" was responsible or the "woman" made me do it.
When you kids start becoming disobediant and start lying or misrepresenting their actions what are you going to do?
That is the real question.
Eventually most kids, if not all kids, do this..
Where does this NATURE come from? Where does "I wanna do it because I wanna do it and I don't care who says don't!" and "weassling out" of blame come from?!
Watch your kids do this. It is enevitiable.
Is it a learned behavior trait or is it inate?
How will YOU as GOD in YOUR household deal with it!

Nobody knows how this works. All we have are logical but flawed theories.
We know that those who do not possess the spirit of God within their souls do not get into heaven, but we don't know what other options or allowances God may have available for special cases.
The best we can do is trust in God's mercy and justice.

There is no hell . There is no such thing as original sin. There is a probational nursery where infants and young children are kept until the arrival of thier parents . I don't know about fetuses.

I believe that baptism is only for people who have already been saved (john 3).If a Baby dies,it goes to heaven, because it is innocent. You can go to hell only when you fully understand the concepts of right, wrong, and the consequences.
