With Freedom comes Responsibility. People cannot defeat evil because most people are unchangable in their opinions, then there is the rebellion factor, and add a touch of self-rightousness
and you can see the obvious/
A man will give up everything including peace, sanity and even life itself just to be RIGHT.

there is a Cherokee Legend which states each of us have two wolves inside of us one represents good and the other represents evil. the one who is winning is the one which is fed the most. yes all mortals have free will and need to fight evil as best one can. however evil can never be defeated unless all agree on what evil actually is and have the Power of GOD to assist in the struggle.

There will always be some form of evil . There is mistake , error and sin , all are evil. It is our task to confront and defeat such.
