Can the dead speak from the other side?

Question

I visited a site that is experimenting with recording voices from loved ones who have passed from this world.A movie came out about it"White Noise" which first got my attention..I know life is eternal according to the Bible,but do you think it is possible to communicate with them through recording the way they did on the movie? I visited this site for info on this,and do think we can.. www.aaevp.com

If the answer is NO then why does the Bible teach of "Eternial Life"? John 3:16.
And why does it say that we will enter through the gates of Heaven,and live in Gods kingdom? I'm confused..Help Please..

I wish they could but dead is dead. There is no "other side" there is no such proof or evidence that the "other side" even exists.

I believe that it is possible. Though the bigger question is why do you want to talk to them? If you want to communicate with a loved one on the other side you can do this through mediation and prayer or via a medium.

You need to be careful in general with communicating with the unseen since you don't know who you are getting. Just like on the internet you may be chating with someone who is really someone else.

While this is an interesting field and worth some study maybe it's better to spend your time with the living on this side, after all that is why you came here.

There are times in which when using the occult, it would seem like contact can be made with the dead. We saw that with King Saul..BUT it is always VERY DANGEROUS!

I also believe that most of those who "bring up the dead" know it is fake...that they do not bring up the dead but are actually bringing out spirits pretending to be the dead. They are always evil spirits.

The witch at Endor that Saul went to thought so but when she brought up "Samuel" she became very afraid when she realize it was really Samuel.. I do think this was the only time in which the actual person they wanted appeared. (Read about it in 1 Samuel 28)

In Luke 16, the rich man that lifted up his eyes in hell wanted to have Abraham to go and tell his brothers so they would not end up in hell also and he was told that even IF the dead could go back, they would not listen.

There are many people who have lost loved ones and who would desperately like to be able to talk with them again or receive messages from them. This desire is understandable, but contacting the dead is not permitted by God according to the Bible. The attempt is a sin against God and results in either deception or involvement with demonic entities impersonating the dead.
I urge you, as strongly as I know how, not to dabble or get involved in anything to do with occult practices, including this one. At best, they are deceptive and fraudulent; at worst, they can involve you in matters which are satanic in origin.

"The Bible is very clear that such things are false and will only lead you away from God and His truth. In the Old Testament God commanded, 'Let no one be found among you ... who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord' (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).

It is critically important for anyone who has been involved in this or any other occult practice to confess it to God as a sin, renounce the practice, and turn to Jesus Christ for His forgiveness, cleansing and protection. Consultation with a Gospel-preaching pastor may be wise. A book such as "The Bondage Breaker" by Neil Anderson has been helpful to many. It would be available through a Christian bookstore.

I also believe that there is a life after this one but can't make any logical argument for being able to communicate with those who have passed over.

The subject makes for great books, TV, movies, and thousands of websites. But these things and the people involved are motivated by money.

It always amazes me how people like James Van Prague claim to speak to the dead but I am left thinking, If he can really talk to spirits why is is only in brief and simple terms. Why isn't it a total conversation instead of bits and pieces?

Logically, if you died and wanted to talk with a loved one, wouldn't you just try to talk with them instead of having to find James Van Prague?

Have faith in God and the promise of eternal life, not in those who get money, or notoriety by claiming to talk with spirits of the dead.

No, the Bible tells us they dead know nothing. Their bodies are in the ground and their spirits are either in heaven or hell. God tells us people that do this stuff, it is witchcraft, evil and hell is their pathway. unless they repent of course.
But, what people actually talk to are evil spirits, who can sound like their dead loved one, look like them, and know all that person knew. The devil knows a lot too, remember? But, he cant give life or take it.
The devil can appear as an agel of light, this is in scripture. So, when one thinks they talk to their dead loved one, it is a good feeling, and leads them into further deception into more witchcraft, etc, or just simply put, to thinking and hearing the devils voice. That blocks God a lot.
One puts themself on dangerous ground, God says, by doing that.
God says in scripture that this is only evil spirits and we are not to have any part of it, or it leads to deception, and a lessning of our faith. Run from this stuff while you can. Run to the nearest exit. Talk to God, and He will show you.

Their deception can appear very very real, as the devil also has power. But if you believe in God and His Word, He is clear that we cannot communicate with the dead, only evil spirits that seek to ruin ,, destroy and even ki.. I pray you run and run now from this stuff. find a quiete place and ask away they also speak in the still quiete voice ,but the spirit only responds to sincerity ,those electronic things are a waste of time its about interprtation of what you want to hear
meditate to quite your thoughts ,still the mind and only record notes of your impressions ,say you get a impression in your mind of a garden thats the garden they are in
if you feel sad or just get a dark depression they are for now in a dark place ,say a prayer for them in this case ,and mentally advise them to pray to god or do a good for others to rise to the next level

EVP is a fascinating subject and have witnessed some very clear and audible EVP in my time. Some my sceptic brother captured purely by accident. As we are still learning about the capabilities of the spirit world, I would say nothing is impossible and maybe in our lifetime we will never find out. I am a big believer in life after death, I have had too many experiences not to believe, i am not too sure about this white noise business, but I do think they communicate to us via various ways, through dreams, through manifestation, moving things, and via mediums, I am not saying that white noise is not a way of them communicating, I am just saying Its one of my least thoughts of them doing so.

I do believe in reincarnation, but I'm afraid talking to dead people is not possible. You see, when they go, they are no longer our loved ones, they are gone for all times. The soul that continues to live takes another life and forgets the previous one, that's why we don't remember our past lives. However, our loved ones continue to live in our heart and our memories. I don't know about the recordings but some people can hear the spirits from the other side.
