Most would agree that its not O.K. to stereotype nationalities, politcal groups or other religions. In fact, I agree that it is wrong to stereotype anyone. But many think that it is okay to be intolerant of Christians and Christianity and to get mad because we say "Jesus loves you." That shouldn't be protected under free speech, according to some. Christians cannot pray in school or have nativity scenes. Judges have been reprimanded for having the Ten Commandments in their courtrooms. These things are not protected under free speech or freedom of religion, but pornography, flag desecration, and other forms of obscenity IS protected free speech? Rediculous! We MUST be tolerant of all other people groups, but we may be intolerant of Christians. This is the epitome of hypocracy!

This is ok in society pretty much today, as many in society have abandoned God. it is wrong to sterotype anyone. and its wrong to judge others. Thats Gods place. If people only listened to only GOD< they would know this. We are all protected by free speech of course, but a decent person will not tear another down to build themselves up. But, people that dont want any part of God and Gods lifestyle plan seem to fear Christians, and hate them, tho not all. No sterotyping here.
You are correct that they take all Christianity from schools and govt. But, boy is porno ok, flag desecraton, filth, and wickness of every kind, promoted. They study about false gods in school, and even have groups come in to promote homosexuality. One lady I know, her little boy in second grade was made to chant. but, hey we cant pray. This happens all over america. In some schools, you best not be walking around with the Bible. But, carry a filthy mad magazine around, or wear t shirts and hats with sheer filth, hey thats ok. We are to be tolerant of each other, but not in toleration of their sinful behaviour. And, yes I agree, watched this for years..... most athiests and groups that promote terrible sinful things, preach that we must tolerate their differences, butso few can do anything but hate us and take away our right. We dont choose to do that as Christians. YOu can look at your porn, just dont bring it to us or our kids. Today, just switching a tv channel, you can see an image that is filth. Take it off. Go to your filthy stores and buy that smut if you want it. But, we dont. Leave it off tv. WE all have rights, and we Christains will tolerate others beliefs, but we ask the same of you. (non Christians). If you dont wnt to salute a flag, ok, but dont burn it. YOu can have all the filth in the world, and believe me society pays for it, we all do. But, dont bring it into our lives. We cant even go to the movies anymore, because of such gutter filth. If they preach tolerance of themselves, lets let it go two sided. And, if they dont want any sterotyping, then dont do it to us . Most athiests I have known hate Christians, and would just as soon see them removed from the planet, so they dont want to hear it,yet we hear their godless comments all the time, and are forced to life in such a godless society. But, Jesus will reign. He is King, and is coming soon to take us home. Hang on Christians. Let us just love others and forgive them, yet stand up for our beliefs. God expects us too.

Intolerance is never ok amongst civilized and rational people.
Just as you are mistaken that "Christians cannot pray in school", so is your interpretation of what constitutes anti-Christian intolerance seemingly in error.
To DISAGREE with anything that is held out to the public by Christians is a matter of free opinion not intolerance.
To quote from the bible, from behavior by Christians, from statements by
Christian leaders, inorder to support a difference of opinion is not intolerance, it is just being factual.
Consider not hanging 'Christian Wash' out in public if you can't handle
just how dirty that wash can be seen to be.
Your choice!

that is so true! many people when you say that ALL christians are hypocrites and everyone is because we all sin. people always say that we shove our religion in others' faces and some christians take the "fishers of men" thing too far, and of course someone has to be offended by it and reports something to school administration, or city hall, and some even go to the supreme court level! we shouldnt be steryotped and i agree 100% with everything you are saying!

Ooh, you used the word epitome. Good I won't have to dumb down my response.

Your right to practice your religion doesn't include a right to practice it on someone who doesn't want to have it practiced on them. Harassment for religious purposes is still harassment.

Courtrooms and schoolhouses are not people, they are institutions of government. The government is supposed to hold itself to a strictly neutral position in religious matters. Private citizens do not have the right to use government property to promote one religious opinion to the exclusion of any others.

Christians are stereotyped because they seem to come in two flavors, loud self-important bigots, and the other, moral cowards who are far too nervous about criticizing people who use Jesus as an excuse to be @ssholes.

Bigotry disguised as religious virtue does not deserve tolerance.

(there's a built in spell checker here, why did you not use it?)

you know you cannot stop this practice if that`s what some people want to do,the best thing for Christians to do when it happens especially on this forum is to pray for them and not reply with defensive remarks, simply type` I will pray for you`.

Stop playing like Christians are martyrs and are persecuted. It is very unbecoming. Don't whine!
