I attend two services every Sunday at St. John's MCC (Metropolitan Community Church)
We are a Christian denomination 38 yrs old an in over 16countries around the world. Our core tenent is being a house of prayer for all people. This means that all races, economic status' and orientations are welcome, accepted and respected for who God made them to be. We have no gender qualifications for leadership and communion is available to everyone without prequalification.
Each of our churches formats their services to meet the members of the community where they are so every church has its own feel. Some are very catholic in practice others are very pentacostal. We even have some that have incorporated native culture practices into their services. Much in non-Christian practices reflect Christian values and beliefs and we feel the best way to reach people is by affirmation and encouragement not condemnation.
My church has been in Raleigh for over 30 years and has three diferent styles of service. On Sunday our morning service is high churchish. We have incorporated many of the best practices and rituals of the catholics, Methodists, Episcopals and Lutherans. Our evening is more carasimatic and evangelical with a Gospel choir, a praise team to lead the congregation in upbeat sing a longs and an open altar call including open Baptism.
The third service is a Contemporary style service on saturday night. Here we sing songs you would hear on K-Love the atomosphere is relaxed almost coffee shop feel and the sermons are more like great conversations not lectures.

Hi, I am Catholic and go to Mass on Sunday as it is the new Sabbath that marks the resurrection of Christ, the single greatest event in the Christian faith, because as St.Paul states, if Jesus has not risen then we have no hope.

I don't go to church at all...yet, I am a Christian. I have no religion, as that is just a name put on a group of people to seperate them from other Christians. I read the Bible, study God's word, pray and worship but I have learned that religion doesn't matter, God loves everyone, no matter what group they belong to. Spirituality matters, not the name of the religion.
Aren't you glad I answered your question??? ;~)
