as i percieve it to be,cant do this that or the other as it might upset muslims. when do you think the british population will start fighting back.my reason for asking is im setting up a bbq for tonight and neighbour doesnt want me to spit roast a piglet on my new spitroaster.[btw i am going to anyway]he says he finds it insulting and will call the police.what would you do in this scenario

clay doll i am christian and said muslim neighbour started complainig when i was marrinating the pig earlier. they do take a while to cook u know.

Interesting !!! do u realy care about him as u r aimed to do that anyway??? so why asking?? but he is caring about u not letting u eat such a dirty thing....u should be thankful to him.
i think in ur society he cant force u for anything as muslims don't have rights to effect anybody's life out there.....dont bother... the poor man must have requested u and u took it offensive, dont make it an excuse to point out his religion.

It is getting to ridiculous proportions and sooner or later - and I hope never - there will be an outburst. I was in a shop with a friend yesterday and being a Saturday it was really busy. There were 3 tills working and 1 Que to using them when a Muslim floor manager pulled a veiled Muslim woman up to the front of the Que and let her go ahead of my friend and several others.
It leaves a bad taste in the mouth. It may only have been a Que, but that woman should have said "there's quite a few people ahead of me" and he should not have singled her out.
You want your roasted piglet, you go for it. This is bloomin' BRITAIN and if he calls the police let him!! You are doing nothing wrong. If we're not careful, before long bacon, ham and roast pork with crackling will all be banded. If your Muslim neighbour does not like it, tough luck. We were eating pork before he moved in and will continue to do so. It's not like you're inviting him round and making him eat it. Sorry to go on,but this is not a Muslim state, nor will it ever be one.
I hope you have a fabulous BBQ, and beautifully roasted piggy and lots of apple sauce!

What a load of rubbish. How did your neighbor even know you where going to a spit roast a pig, unless you went to his home and told him. Roast your piglet, eat it, enjoy it im a Muslim and i could care less if you eat a pig. I'm British, and a Muslim the only one in my family and my family eat pork in front of me. Whats the problem. You are just perpetuating a myth. There is no non Muslim in Britain being forced not to do anything. Roast your pig eat it who cares!!

Muslims aren't supposed to eat Pork, themselves. They have every right to refuse it, but there is nothing in the Qu'ran as far as I know that requires them to not see a slaughtered pig. It isn't a sacred animal(like Cows for Hindis), for Muslims and Jews it is just too filthy to eat. My best advice is put up a temporary wall to upstruct his view and be a polite neighbor yourself. DON'T confuse the rediculous request or threat of a single muslims to represent the whole (I'm not muslim, BTW). There are as many sects of Islam as their are Christianity and few of them agree on any one aspect.

I think your neighboor is a poor man who doesnt know much about civil rights.
As far as Islam is concerned, anyone can do anything they want inside the privacy of their homes if its not harming anyone.
And yes, pigs are more or less like the dirtiest animals alive for us Muslims so that might upset the man but he doesnt have the right to say anything to u..Youre not cooking it in HIS yard are u?

just cook that roast your neighbour sounds like an a hole what country is he in. If he's insulted ask him to leave it's your house,
when the brittish pop start fighting back who knows, this may seem silly but i reckon it'll be when we win the world cup or euro championship, this country needs something to be proud of not including stupid cricket (crap fing sport that is). until then maybe we need a tougher prime minister not a walkover like the one we have

Nobody is being forced to become Muslim dude. If my neighbour were cooking meat I wasn't allowed to eat, I'd throw my own dinner extra delicious not call the cops. He might not like you or other reasons.

Nobody is going to force Islam down my throat, and fu*ck them to blazes if they try. If roasting a piglet is acceptable in the country where you live (UK? USA?) and not illegal, then roast one and let your neighbour call the police. What are they going to do? Nothing, because you are not breaking any laws. If they don't like what happens in a country that isn't governed by Sharia Law, then let them move to one that is.
They need to learn that when in Rome, one should do as the Romans do, and if they don't like like the traditional and accepted democratic culture and behaviour of 'Rome', then fu*ck-off to somewhere more acceptable to them.

Your Muslim neighbour should respect your right, even though pig is disgusting to us. By the way, Im Muslim.
