I believe in the big bang, as do some christians. But they will say the bang was created by god. But why not just cut out the middle man and say we don't know?

I confronted a pastor friend of mine with something and he was in denial about the thing I confronted him about and he got very angry at me. As a result, he made up a story about me and told it to a group of people we both know. When I asked him if he had done this, he admitted to me privately that he had...but that he felt justified about lying about me because he was angry at me.

I have waited for him to put this right for two weeks...thinking that he might go ahead and tell these people that what he said about me was not true...but he has not. We go to a support group meeting together every week ...and today I am sick to my stomach just thinking about going into this group this evening...because this has all never been set right.

I don't have any desire to embarrass him or cause him shame, however, he has not been too concerned about whether he causes me embarassment or shame...does anyone have any suggestions?

I have been told that I should confront him in the group.

Why is it that there is so much controversy as to when it was written? It is of unknown authorship with a date ranging from the sixth to the second century BC. Surely this poses a problem for the notion of "infallible scripture"? If Christians themselves don't even know who wrote their "divine revelation" or even when why should they be taken seriously?

I am in school and I don't get invited into people's group because I am Muslim. Do you think it is right to discriminate against people because of religions. they treat me in the most terrible possible way.

A Resounding NO!-He is a KING-in your book-A MONARCH-do you understand? He is antidisestablishmentarianistic when it comes to AMERICAN Values beliefs and honor! Christians-Muslims Jews-YOU all have the Right To FREEDOM of your Chosen religion-but you do not have the right to push those views onto others and try to make US believe like you do-you do not have the right to JUDGE what I watch on TV=what I smoke (as your car pollutes 10 X's the oxygen my cigarette does{no I do not drive} in this small room we call an eco-system) and you do not have the right to legislate bills based on the rhetoric of your bible or Q'ran or any other religious manuscript as it is AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION and in direct conflict with THE SEPARATION of Church & State! So be happy that you are in America but please stop abusing this system to push your religion-YOUR JESUS. I DO NOT ACCEPT HIS WORD-I am tired of seeing DEATH, Misery & Agony in his name-Jesus Out of U.S.-U.S. outta Middle East-BOMB KOREA instead!

I still respect all faiths, whether they be athiests, or muslims or any other choice. I will NOT judge them because they have a right to their beliefs and it is NOT our place to judge.

It seems people falsly accuse Christians of so many things, even to say that we are the terrorists. Don't you realize the enemy isn't the Christian, but the terrorists?

America in Iraq isn't the enemy who is killing innocent. It is the Islamic terrorist and / or insurgents with self righteous goals for Islam that is the murderer.

Hi. My name is Sean. I'm a 29 year old Atheist. In my humble opinion,

NOT ONE SINGLE BOOK SHOULD EVER, EVER, EVER BE BANNED.

I'D LAY MY LIFE IN FRONT OF A TANK THAT WAS ROLLING INTO A LIBRARY LIKE THAT KID IN TIENEMAN SQUARE.

KNOWLEDGE = DEMOCRACY.

That kid layed down in front of that tank, we saw it.

We shall honor his memory tonight all of us, by reading a book that might disagree with our world view.

Will you join me, or scoff at me.

isn't this decidedy BAD NEWS for me? (The Gospel being Good News for you)

Oh yea, Jesus is saying....(16) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned

Don't know who said,"To thine own self be true" ... that might even have been Jesus too, but if I do that, then I can't go around pretending to believe.

Maybe it's not so bad being damned, which human being really knows?

I read it, as a teenager, to see how messed up that guy was, Hitler. I believe in studying history to learn how to avoid the mistakes of the history.

Someone should have read that book when it came out and said that man is a madman.

Do you think this question is absurd?

Most muslims I have spoken too did not realize that Mohammed ordered the killing of people and killed himself on many occasions. They were not aware of his many wives including the 7 year old Ayeshia who he seduced age just 9. His words: l"ay in wait and kill the crusaders and jews". "Do not befriend them" You can lie to them they are not important. If you leave your religion we will kill you.

doesn't mean to exclude God & His protection over our school children, does it?

Is this the reason the devil has snuck into our childrens schools & does them harm. Because some parents don't want God and thinks God will only harm our kids?

Don't you realize that it is the devil that harms our children, not God?

I believe in some for of God,
Since nothing can never form something, unless something exists for eternity, thereby I consider that something to be God.
It can't be eternal mass because eternal mass does not have its own decesion when to start the universe.

According to Christians, anybody who repents their sins and lets Jesus into their hearts, will go to Heaven.

In the prisons this happens to a lot of people. They start to read the Bible, ask for forgiveness, and in the end they wil make it to Heaven.

I, as an atheist, believe in forgiveness. I like that concept, actually.

What I wonder is how it'll work, according to Christians, in the afterlife. A lot of earthly victims will in Heaven meet their murderer, rapist or whatever. Are those victims warned in advance? Does God tell them they will meet their killer or rapist again? Does God prepare them for that confrontation? Is there anything about that mentioned in the Bible?
