isn't it true that the bible implied that jesus led a perfect life. he helped the homeless, did not fight his oppressors, he befriended wayward people, and fed the hungry.

My question is how do you legitimately compare yourself to a person who obviously was flawless. If there are any noted flaws, let me know please.

Do you need better evidence that you are not amongst the "few" who will find the "narrow way"?

Do you need better evidence it was you He warned when He said "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say unto me, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."?

Do you need more evidence that your egotistical excuses have led you astray from His instructions?

Your ego may try to deny His instruction to "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48), but that does not change His instruction nor the consequences of ignoring it.

You limit yourselves by gainsaying His wisdom.

Everytime something bad happens, they find a way to let God off the hook. In the Bible, God WAS responsible for all those natural disasters that killed millions of people. Today, however, most Christians fail to hold him accountable for such things like earthquakes, floods, tsunamis and famines.

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" Matthew 5:48

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them..." Matthew 7:12

"...Because strait is the gate: and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say unto me, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in the name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:22-23

Why do you insist you cannot be perfect when Jesus calls upon you to be perfect, & warns you that few will find the narrow way, & warns you that many who believe themselves "christian" will be rejected?

Would you gainsay Jesus to soothe your ego?

"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them...Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate: and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree brigeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit."
Matthew 7:12-18

Why do you believe you are amongst the "few" when you do not live in perfect accord with the Word?

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:48
(all quotes are from the Sermon on the Mount)

My son is 24y/o, he has been watching me on YA but not paying close attention to what I was doing. He asked me about it and I told him it was a Q&A format. He asked what catecories I went under so I told him R&S,S&C,Politics and Govt. He went to YA and went to several of the ones I mentioned to him. The next day I asked him how he liked YA. He sat down and said"I really don't understand why you want to fool with that site at all. Do you know about the guy that calls himself thw what should I do retard?" I knew where this was going (my husbands older sister was injured at birth , a forceps injury during delivery, and she is mentally challenged. She is sweet and innocent has the mentallity of about a 3-4 year old child). I told him yes I didn't answer his questions. He said"Why go somewhere to respond to other's ignorance?" He pointed out that we had to deal with that in day to day life, why go somewhere for entertainment where people are so crude? Any thoughts.
